Amazing bike for the price…even in Canadian dollars!! I’m 68 and have been riding road bikes for the last 16 years. With the CF Racer, I can ride anywhere, road or trail, and not be killed by surprise hills! I now have the option of how hard I want my ride to be. It’s a much more comfortable ride than my traditional skinny tire road bike and rolls effortlessly!

Absolutely has exceeded expectations in every area! Lightweight, shifts and rides perfect. Almost zero tension when bike is off, for those days you wanna go old school, however love having that option when I'm 10 miles away bucking a 40mph headwind. Having that option gets me out more. More exercise, in the best shape ever thanks to Ride1up. 200 miles in the last 3 weeks.

Smoothest e-bike I’ve ridden. At 29 lbs you barely feel the weight, and the carbon frame makes the whole ride feel solid without being stiff. Hills are a non-issue. The motor kicks in just enough to keep your cadence steady without doing the work for you. For the price of a full carbon fiber e-bike, I don’t know how Ride1Up pulled this off. Highly recommend.

CF Rider 1 fills a niche in ebikes. I have a higher end Scott Addict as well for comparison. PROS: Fairly light and not much heavier than my Addict. Sharp looking bike (would have loved to customize colors). E-component with multiple levels allows to fine tune level of assist you require. Definitely powerful at the upper levels. Solid build with tubeless tires, hidden wiring, and nice saddle. Solid computer with good visibility. Nice communication with the company. Excellent toolbox included. CONS: Shifting is not as smooth as I hoped. There is a little vague feel with peddling, not quite a grind but something?? WHO IS THIS FOR: For me, this bike was purchased to share with my wife so she could have e-assist with our rides. I will also use this for my gravel rides with confidence in support if needed. Ideal Gravel bike which could function fine without any e-assist. Tubeless makes them more dependable and the disc brakes are solid.

It is a great bike right out of the box! Delivery was fast and bike + accessories were perfect. Rear wheel removal is not possible due to a wirenut in the chain stay- even at the bike shop. A quick release system for the power wire would solve this. Also had the shop set up the tubeless tires due to difficult tirebead set. They work great now. Power buttons are in an awkward location and I will customize. It's light weight and setup makes it ride like a fast gravel/road bike!

This is the 6th ebike I have purchased. It is by far the best (other than the TrailRush which is the best for dirt riding).
So far so good!
I received my bike. I was fairly simple to put together. The main problem is how it mentions there is a torque wrench and how important it is to adjust the tension to the correct torque. You did not send me a torque wrench. 3,000 dollars and you forgot the most important tool.
No torque wrench
There should be a torque wrench in your box of parts/tools. Please contact us if you cannot locate it! https://ride1up.com/contact
The bike and components really great, until it came to trying to put add on battery into place. The removal of the crank shaft tube (?) was difficult because the proper tools are not supplied. The video makes it look easy, IT WAS NOT. Once I was able to find a tweezer to fit into the opening and hold down the nut to unscrew the metal tube from its wedged place, the springs popped out of it, and the tension was completely ruined, and even more difficult to put back properly. It still does not sit in its position properly, and RIDE1UP will do nothing to assist with this. Also, the add-on battery cable for the CF Racer is extended and different from instruction video . They do not give instructions for this replacement, and because it’s a longer cable , it’s nearly impossible to jam back into the small space that holds all the cables. When you go to put the cover plate back on, the cable is too wide to sit properly into the groove. Again, a lot of jamming and tweaking to get things to fit properly. BEWARE BIKE DAMAGE DUE TO ADD-ON BATTERY COMPLICATIONS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY! So! Maybe don’t buy that add-on battery?
