Purchased my 700 in March of 2023 and have had a blast taking it on local rail trails and along with us on RV travels ever since. It's much easier to use our bikes to get into touristy places where our large truck would be harder to find parking for. It's been on the Cape May Lewes Ferry, Delaware Seashore, South Carolina, Cape Henlopen State Park and all around Ulster and Duchess Counties rail trail systems. We cannot wait to go out this season! The bike is comfortable and easy to maneuver, even for someone who didn't grow up riding bikes. I'm 5'9" and the bike height is perfect for me.

My wife really enjoys her new 700 Series ST. It’s a good fit for her in addition to being very smooth and fast. The bike was easy to assemble and is a very high quality product. She loves riding for exercise and is getting 70+ miles per battery charge.

I have been driving a Ride1Up 700 Series Step-through model since July 2021. It has about 3,000 miles at this point. I drive mostly on paved roads and hilly but paved bike trails. The bike is running well, the battery still holds charge for weeks and I can drive about 30 miles per full charging. I needed to change the brake pad last summer. The original tires lose air pressure quite fast are they are not leak-proof (they can get punctured by thorns). After the rear tire got punctured in 2022, I replaced the tubes with gel tubes, but it added a new headache; the valves get clogged. I often need to change the valves to pump the tires. This month, I found that the original fork has been frozen, it no longer absorbs shock. I like to buy a fork that can replace the existing one without any alterations. I think the bike package as it is shipped, is inadequate in terms of safety, comfort, and convenience. I found the flood light inadequate, so I added an additional rechargeable headlight. To increase safety, I have added a bike bell, a bike mirror to the left handle, and a battery-powered rearview camera. I also added several reflective patches to the bike for increased nighttime visibility. For comfort, I have changed the original seat to a Selle SMP TRK Gel Seat and the original seat post to a Redshift ShockStop seat post. For convenience, I have added a Coospo Bike computer and a bike bag. All these changes and additions, to my opinion, turned the bike into a more complete equipment. Overall, I enjoy my bike and drive it every day if it does not rain or snow.

I purchased a 700 series in September and of course the price went down at Christmas isn’t that always the way SMH . Yet the experience thus far ,riding at least 20 miles a day , Until beginning of October when I had spinal surgery . I had a very good experience but didn’t ride long enough to come to a conclusion . I had to wait another 6 weeks to get back on I have enjoyed and have been surprised at the speed the build the comfortable upright position . The 700 series has been a great experience . I would recommend this model and company to anyone who inquires . The only few things I had issues with was the seat , kind of uncomfortable. I don’t have a lot of my own cushion haha . I replaced the seat to a aftermarket. Possibly if I had a bigger tush it’d be ok with original seat .As well I do have shifting issues not horrible but it’s kind of a pain was a bit bummmed on that front . Tho The build did not take too long I purchased the specialty tools to insure the bike was built perfectly. I was surprised after watching videos of the build ,and how much you had to build . When the bike came it was built a lot more than previously stated very happy about that . The Battery seems to be strong long lasting , but after some miles the battery heats up and uses more than it should tho if you cool the battery down she’s going a bit stronger . Absolutely worth the dough . This bike is smooth when using assist super fast top speed on a good road went to 31mph like dang . More to come due to the low miles I have on it but I’m currently have 135 miles on her . To me it’s been fantastic. I highly recommend this bike . Hey ho least go!!! Want questions let me know ! Let’s see how long this lasts before issues especially the gear shifts. Very satisfied. Thank you for all your help and building a solid e bike .

So far, we love our new e-bikes. Assembly was quite easy thanks to the installation videos on the website. I would have been totally lost without those. Can’t wait to get out and ride when our weather warms up this spring.

After many decades, last year I was able to downsize from a two-car household to one car. I would highly recommend the Ride1Up 700 series ST bike to anyone looking for an excellent commuter/cruiser ebike riding experience. This is my second one after my 1st one was stolen. I liked it so much that i immediately replaced it. I get many positive compliments from other riders that I encounter while riding. Dave Lagan

Sturdy, fun and fast ebike; I love that we can customize the assistance levels (% of power output): it's a great feature that you don't find on most ebikes. I bought it to ride with my husband since he rides a LMT'D daily and we're in a hilly area. IMO, the LMT'D feels more like a supercharged bike thanks to the torque sensor and the silent motor; the assistance on the 700 series is pretty straight-foward and the motor is more noisy (seems standard for an ebike). Still, it's fun and efficient! On the other side, the 700 series feels both more stable and handy than the LMT'D. We will use it for commuting, hauling our baby to be born, and explore the area. Would recommend!

Adding pics, well packed. Easy to sort out parts. Manual was not working for me, so i had to YouTube an instructional video. The visual was much better even if i had to watch some parts 10 times over. Oh i also got a great deal, the price dropped & it was the lowest i saw all year so i jumped and made the purchase!

I’ve been waiting to give this review because I wanted to give the bike a good long test. I’ve been riding it for a year now and it has around 5600 miles on it so it’s about time. I use this bike for my daily commute which is a 20 mile round trip, Sometimes I’ll add a few miles by choosing a longer route when I have time and the weather is nice. I also like to go on rides on the weekends or days off just to get outside and get some exercise. As you the reader may have guessed, I love this bike! Before deciding on the 700, I did as much research online as I could. I wanted a reliable commuter that I could take out for some casual road rides on the weekends and this bike does not disappoint. I have configured the cockpit to give me a more aggressive position but it is still comfortable. As I like to tinker a bit with my bikes, I have changed the pedals, the handle bars, the grips and I installed a 48T chainring. None of which is really necessary but as I said I like to tinker. I have had a few issues with the bike however, the main one being at around the ten month mark the pas would intermittently stop working but as the bike was still under warranty and with the help of Apollo at the service center and Zac and Rudy at the Shop in San Diego the problem was fixed quickly and I didn’t miss a single day of my commute. I also went through a phase of getting a crazy amount of flats but I installed some Mr. Tuffy tire liners and switched to slime inner tubes and I haven’t had a flat since. For me this was a great pick that checked all the boxes I was looking for and I would recommend this bike for anyone interested in an out of the box commuter with great flexibility for customizing to your personal riding style. A little about me, I am 59 years old and am in much better shape now than I was a year ago. I was a skinny tire rider in my youth and this bike has allowed me to get back out there without worrying if I can make it over the next big climb or last 5 miles to home. This bike really can make cycling available to anyone which I think is a very good thing.

Some of my comments here are not specific to the 700 Series but rather e-biking in general. That said, my experience with e-biking is on the 700 series. Things I like: 1) This is a lot more fun than conventional cycling and you can still get your heart rate high by using lower levels of assistance or going at a higher speed. If I want to avoid sweating, I can. If I want a workout, I can do that too. 2) I like that I can remove the battery so that I can charge it in a cooler environment or bring it up to my office. 3) I really like the feel of the tires on the pavement, great grip 4) My bike guy tells me that this bike is well-equipped in terms of components, especially at this price point My problems: 1) The bike rack on the city bus only supports tires with a width up to 2.25", this bike is 2.4". I tried it anyway and it doesn't fit. This reduces my options on the commute and I wish I would have bought something with a smaller wheel and maybe a bit less weight. 2) The 60 miles of range might be true but there would be a lot of caveats on that. For one, you'd be using a such low level of assistance that you'd basically just be offsetting the extra weight of this bike and it would feel like pedaling a normal weighted bike 60 miles. Secondly, they tell you to operate the battery between 20% and 80% so that really only opens up 60% of the battery for normal use. Finally, if you read the ideal operating temperatures for the battery... in my geography, you get like 3 days a year you can ride the bike. 3) Originally, I was thinking about this in terms of the cost per mile based on my cost of a kw/h. The reality is charging the battery is almost free from an energy perspective. The real cost is the battery will only take a limited number of charges and is a very expensive part to replace. If you include the wear and tear on battery this isn't such a cheap commute. 4) While my bike mechanic appreciates the components, he has struggled getting the rear spokes to stay at tension... he thinks the bike might be too heavy for the wheel provided. Ride 1up has been supportive as we work through this but its been annoying. 5) This isn't a huge deal but the bike can be a bit of a wuss about hills. I live in Iowa so this isn't a big problem for me.

So far so good! Have over 40 miles almost 30 commutes to/from work on the Ride1Up 700 series. It’s getting colder and darker leaving me lots of pleasant rides with the headlight and taillight that work great. The ride to work is downhill and all uphill for the ride home (which was a killer with my non-powered pedal bike). The brakes seem to be bedding in well with only minor adjustment needed. The rear derailleur has needed adjustment to keep easy shifting. Only minor gripe I have is there is a vibration rattle I haven’t been able to track down. Overall, great e-bike, with great performance. Time will tell how the batteries last as everything on the bike should last very well.

Well let me start by saying I’ve been an avid Ebike enthusiast for about 7 years. This is my eight purchase, (2 Ecotric’s, Rattan, Rad, and 3 Aventon’s) however it’s my first commuter bike. Everything else was a fat tire bike and I was sick and tired of pedaling a “lumber wagon” on the paved trails so after weeks of research the Ride1Up came out as the one with the highest overall rating. Great price as well – especially for a bike with so many branded parts. Now don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against the fat tire bike, it’s just that they have their place and riding on paved trails really isn’t really one of them. Alas, the commuter bike made better sense for that everyday ride. This Ride1Up 700 Series lives up to the hype that is written about it. I will say that assembly on this bike was the most extensive by FAR! I’ve been around bikes long enough so it wasn’t a problem, but it took about an hour and half to assemble it all and get it adjusted for my first ride. All though it’s a 750 watt motor I didn’t get that feeling since it has a very slow PAS sensitivity and the sensor takes a while for it to catch up to the pedaling. Not a bad thing, it appears that every manufacture has a different idea on what’s right and what’s not right. It’s been four days now – I have about 140 miles on it and I’m getting use to the bikes personality. It’s a smooth, quiet ride. Best brakes I’ve ever had. Easy to handle and really lots of fun. I’ve changed out the seat and seat post with an oversized seat and shocked absorbed seat post. I switched out the handle bars with a 3.75” riser and @ 4” wider. I’m 70 and I wanted to sit more upright than the original design offered. Oh, I also added a super custom trailer hitch for pulling my trailer. (See Pictures) In conclusion, the Ride1Up is a great bike for the price – you WILL NOT be disappointed by any means. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. Happy Biking!

So excited for my step-through 700! After my husband purchased his 700, and I put miles and miles on it, I finally got my bike. Packaging is done extremely well, some 50+ zip ties and foam packaging later she’s ready to go!

Fun and fast! Nearly Everything worked great. Bought one and then a second when we found how much fun they are and how easy it is to get around town on ‘em. My son rides one to grade school 3 miles from home mostly on bike path. He can almost beat a car getting there (yes, full face helmet for him). We needed to adjust spokes and true the wheels on both bikes. We did the second one before ever riding it. Recommend to have a shop do it unless you have the skills and spoke tool. We put the cyber shot 350 rear light and nite rider 1000 in front to be seen by cars and for any night riding, We use the bikes lights on and the others are blinking when riding. Handles very well at speed and mileage seems very much on what is claimed. Did a ride in the mountains carrying the spare battery mounted on rack with bungees. On level 5 I got 46-47 miles (2 batteries) before back at car and these are serious mountains in VA on Shenandoah National park skyline drive and had a little charge in the last battery. Anyway, my family loves the bikes. Get one if you can and use it!

I I would rate our experience with shipping and assembly as a four, but the bike as a whole was definitely a five. Originally FedEx would not deliver our bikes stating that the hazardous material paperwork had not been filled out correctly by Ride1Up. When I contacted Chad in customer service he verified the issue with the paperwork and reshipped our bikes. We missed a week of riding but were happy to have the bikes at all, as it is difficult to ship anything with lithium ion batteries to Alaska. The video showing assembly was a little lacking in certain areas but overall we were able to overcome the issues. After we assembled both bikes, we took them to a bike shop to have them tuned and tightened. The bike shop was impressed at the quality of the bikes and only charged us for tune-ups as the assembly was done well. The quality of the bike and inclusion of accessories was impressive. Standard ebikes without accessories in Alaska were at least double what we paid with Ride1Up. The power and shifting is smooth and the motor is very quiet. The battery lasts a long time. The bikes were charged at 80% when we received them and we've put 48 miles on them so far, with 1 bar of battery left. We've only used pedal assist, not the throttle, so I'm sure that extends the discharge. I love that I can sit up straight to ride and that the handle bars are adjustable in several ways. The step through is nice for rides in the city, where waiting for traffic lights is common. The quality is amazing for the price - from the handle bars to the kickstand. I highly recommend this bike to anyone doesn't want to sacrifice quality for price.

Great value for money. Still has problems. The wheels on my bike came super out of true and had no threadlocker. Finding a bike shop that would fix it in the summer was almost impossible. Nobody wants to work on a 63lb ebike. My bike also got a key that went right through the tire and popped the tube. I wish they had a kevlar belt to stop objects from going right through the tire. The tire itself was impossible to replace myself and the bike shop I went to told me i shouldn't try to replace the tubes because the tire is way too tight to do without professional tools he reccomended i get a better tire that wasnt so difficult to replace and that has reinforcement. The motor hall sensor will kill the motor if im on a steep hill and thats really annoying. Having to constantly restart the bike. The motor also gives feedback sometimes that sounds really bad. I dont know if the motor is damaged but i hope its normal. I wish there was a charging indicator on the bike to show it was charging. Sometimes i think its plugged in but its not. Some sort of fast charger would be awesome or a way to put another battery on. I got it for 300 off and that was a great deal so its hard to complain but i hope they make improvements to the next model.

Love the bike! I bought myself one and also bought my wife the step through. Lots of fun and you can get as much of a workout as you desire based off whatever setting you choose from 1-5 levels of assist.

This is my first e-bike, after renting a few around town for rides and I have to say, I love this bike! It’s perfect for my work commute, which is a little hilly. Using the ride assist settings is super easy, and the only thing I had any trouble with was getting the rear rack right enough. The video on the ride1up site was essential for helping me put the bike together. I love my sweet 700 series!

So far, I'm really enjoying my new bike. It looks great, rides comfortably, and is fast! The only issue I ran into was after about 30 miles, I got a LOT of wheel noise. I took it to a bike repair shop where they needed to tighten the spokes. 4/5 for this bike for needing to take a bike to the shop after only a few days of riding.

I bought two 700 series bikes, on for me and one for my wife 2 and a half years ago. We have upwards of 3800 miles on each and have had zero problems. These are great bikes, we typically ride around 30 miles on each ride and almost always have at least 60% battery left when we get home.

What a fantastic experience so far. Due to a pretty bad car crash years ago my wife has been unable to ride a bike unless she’s on a perfectly flat surface. We recently rented e-bikes to ride the Virginia Creeper trail and she was hooked. I researched bikes for her to the point of paralysis by analysis. Finally I pulled the trigger on this and am so glad I did. I ordered it on a Wednesday and it came on Friday. Wow! I’m pretty handy and started assembling it around 11am. The instructions that come with the bike are terrible. I had to watch a couple of different YouTube videos to complete the bike. This was frustrating. I was almost done, ready to add the rear rack only to discover the holes for it weren’t drilled properly. I contacted customer service and since it was a holiday weekend didn’t get a response until Tuesday. Greg was awesome and had me take it to a local bike shop to get the holes retapped and he said they’d reimburse me for the repair. The bike shop discovered the front brake was bent during shipping and fixed that along with the rack. When I sent the receipts to Greg this morning I was reimbursed for the expense within 30 minutes. Wow! The bike is fantastic. My wife has ridden it every day. A charge lasts much longer than advertised. It has tons of power. The powder blue is gorgeous. When I asked my wife for feedback she said “bike go fast, bike go far.”. 😂 We could not be happier with Ride1Up as a company, the bike is great, it’s sooo easy to ride (another quote from my wife). I made the right choice.

I really love my new 700 step thru model, plus was on sale. The bike is very fast, rides nice and bigger tires make it stabile. Goes at least 40 miles on a charge, even if I use 80% pedal assist. Seems to be very well built, and assembly was not that bad, good instructions on-line. Great deal!!

R1U Rocks and so does FedEx you all were so fast from time of order to front door. Cali to Wisconsin…thought maybe they road the bikes here it was so fast. 😀 Make sure to keep track of where shipment is to be home to accept delivery. They wouldn’t release it when first attempt to deliver failed. In my opinion team effort but they delivered with a smile the next day. My bride’s 700 is cool and sexy! She didn’t want the turbo boost but really likes it especially when you need to cross busy roads hit turbo and you’re off and running again! Well done folks you deliver what you promised! Thank you R1U!

I love my bike, and everyone that has seen it is very impressed with it. The build quality and features are unbeatable for the price, and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. My only caveat would be that the bike comes disassembled, and it may be daunting for some people to do the assembly on their own. However, when I put the pieces together, no further adjustments were needed—the brakes were perfectly calibrated, as were the gears! Highly recommend.

I actually bought my 700 series used from a private seller. The bike already had 700 miles on it before I purchased it. Fast forward a year I have put a total of 2,650 miles on this bike. I commute 30 miles to work everyday. I've gotten flats twice which slime stopped the leak borg times but other than that this bike has never let me down. I'm very impressed. I do wish the gears could go a little higher so my legs wouldn't go so fast on level 9 speed but other then that I have no complaints. I'm still using original battery and charger. Battery has seemed to degrade but I can still make my trip everyday. I look forward to many more miles on my bike!

Love the ride of the bike and it was easy to setup. For me the seat is a little hard so I purchase a different one online. I love the bright display and how easy it to use with the pedal assist. Crazy nice bike, I don’t know what took us so long to purchases these two bikes. We ride them everywhere. As you can see in the picture we purchased a couple of heavy duty locks to lock them up when we’re at restaurants or stores in our town and mounted them on the sides of the bike. You can’t beat the quality or price compared to other E-bikes I looked at. Very happy with our two Ride1up bikes!

The bike is fantastic - I have enjoyed riding it greatly. So far I have ridden on a 30 mile ride and my expectations are to eventually work up to 50 or 60 miles on one ride. The only thing I wish was a little different was climbing steep grades the motor seems to need breaks on the climb, but other than that I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Ordering a bicycle in NE OH in the winter time may not be the ideal time but the price became too low to resist. I compared ebikes for almost a year and finally decided the Ride 1Up was the one I wanted. I made up my mind on a price point and then kept checking the sale pricing periodically . I originally had my eye on the 500 Series. Then when the price on the 700 dropped and was so close to the 500, I decided to place the order for that bike instead. I saw so many comments about the difficulty of assembling it and that concerned me but my husband was able to put it together with no difficulty at all. The bike arrived in perfect condition. I haven’t been able to ride it at all due to the weather so I’m unable to comment on that. I will say, the bike appears a little big for me even though I got the step through. I’m pretty sure I’ll have to change the seat. My other bikes have much more, shall we say, “friendly” seats. My husband likes it so much, we ordered another bike-this time the Core 5. If that one fits me better, we’ll trade off. I’m disappointed that bike does not have suspension forks but I saw a tip about getting a suspension seat so we might change that out. The seat changes are not expensive alterations. That bike has not arrived yet. We are really excited to try them out. I only gave the 4 star rating because we’ve not been able to ride them yet. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed in the performance. Otherwise, the bike is solid, well built, easy to assemble and aesthetically pleasing in appearance.

Great dollar value and quality. Nice fit and finish, well-made. Exceeded expectations. Complicated assembly, but no issues. The headlight provides excellent luminosity. I use 1 and 2 assist levels about 90% of the time, that's plenty of help (I'm 70). Easily gets 50 miles per charge (Flat coastal Florida). Son and daughter "steal" it every chance they get. Quieter than expected.

Assembly took about 4 hrs. Had a near disaster on one of my first rides when front wheel came loose and wobbled at about 25 mph. Reset and tightened...no issues since. Ive ridden about 70 miles and enjoying the bike. Very solid, stable. Easy to ride with no pedal assist. But i find myself using levels 1 and 2 frequently around my neighborhood. Throttle is great for short quick scoots, start assist, across streets or over tougher to pedal terrain.

The bike has been fine. I am in a mountainous area so I am very glad I switched to the 700 series. There were a few issues with assembly. Main one was the spokes were loose and making a lot of noise when riding. There were some screw holes that were not threaded far enough. Other than that I love the bike and am enjoying it very much. It is very well built and easy to maintain. I have about 200 kilometers on it so far, and would recommend it to anyone.

I purchased a 700-series in the beginning of August primarily to commute to my business, a 12 mile round trip, 5 days a week for 60 miles a week. I live in Vermont on a dirt road, so half the ride is hard packed gravel, then some rather rough and cracked pavement with some steep hills. As of today I have 548 miles on the display in 9 weeks of riding. I have been very impressed with the bike. It has handled well when I have hit rather than missed some pot holes. Brakes are great, especially when a car pulls out in front of you. Easily does 28 mph on the flat areas. Vermont is a very progressive state and does have many dedicated bike lanes on the main roads and is currently offering a rebate of up to $400. on the purchase of an E bike for commuting. The seat is very comfortable and I like the more upright position as I have not had any back or posterior pains from the ride. The bike is very solid and well built and I would not hesitate to recommend this bike to others. It has gotten me back into biking after many years. I found the assembly to be easy, it took around 2 hours and the display and throttle quite simple and easy to use.

3200 miles so far. Just finished a 400-mile round trip from Sacramento to Reno and back. I hit some pretty rough roads in the mountains. My 700xr ran like a dream. This is one tough bike. Thanks, Ride1Up!

After a pretty extensive dive on the E-bike market, the 700 Series stood above the rest of the field as the best quality ride I'd get for a sub $2000 dollar price point. It's worth pointing out that my bike came with a brake lever that was unfortunately broken, but Ride1Up's customer service was excellent and they worked with my local bikeshop (where I had the bike assembled) to send the necessary repair components. It was easy to get in touch with Ride1Up, and there were no issues with shipping extra items; a fairly impressive feat given that I'm across the country from where they're based at. I can't stress this enough, though: it became readily evident that I didn't have the expertise to install my bike in a safe (or even functional lol) manner after unboxing. So, if you aren't the handiest person like me, I'd recommend skipping the "trying to assemble," step that I loitered at. Just take your bike to a local shop and trust that you're getting the most technically sound assembly possible. In terms of riding, this is easily the most fun I've had on any bike I've ever owned or otherwise ridden. Handling is smooth and steady, the suspension is awesome, and you're absolutely flying on the "lower," PAS levels (2&3), to the point where I've barely felt the need to engage in higher assist. The throttle is a wonderful feature and you'll genuinely blow by traffic in an inner city. Best of all, the bike's settings are readily customizable and the display screen is easy to navigate. Plus, the handlebars allow for easy installment of phone mounts, rearview mirrors, lights or whatever other accessories you'd care to add. If you're seriously in the business of getting a commuter E-bike and don't want to break the bank, it's hard to look past this bike. It's an awesome value and an even better riding experience. I don't usually leave online reviews--just not my style--but this bike is so wonderful that I had to. Thanks Ride1Up!

From start to finish ride 1up was smooth in the initial purchase and delivery. Very important to me. Assembly was exactly what I thought it would be for a boxed ebike..lots of foam, zip ties and clutter all across the floor but organized to say the least. Very few adjustments needed to get ride ready..seat, handlebars, and front disc brake Easy for a novice like myself 1st ride was like butter Easily learned controls and functions quickly, 18 mile ride and I'm so sold on my decision on this purchase of the 700 RT Florida lifestyle requires no hills so this bike can really handle all that I give it so far Very impressive and thank you Ride 1Up

My wife bought the Series 700 XR for me on my birthday. This is my first e-bike. Shipping was very quick. Bike arrived in excellent condition. I assembled it two days ago. Assembly was easy but took some time. The rear derailleur was perfect right out of the box. Yesterday I took it out on a 15 mile ride on the River Mountain Trail and the Union Pacific Trail here in southern Nevada. The ride was great and I love the bike. I left it on PAS level 2 and it gave me just enough help on the hills and used very little battery. I still got a good workout. After 15 miles I still had 80% battery left. The ride is smooth and comfortable and I am just loving this bike. I don't think I could have mad a better choice.

This a very sturdy bike. It is heavy but easy to turn and has good brakes. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 200lbs. I can ride more than 35 miles in almost flat Florida on pedal assist 3 pedalling less than half the time. Top speed is 28 with no pedalling. I put on a wider seat because I 67 and the ride is a more upright position. Really like the bike it's nice to be able to be able to do a quick errand. I think I need to get the panniers.

I give it 4.5 stars but not 5 stars. The set-up took some time as the manual wasn't detailed enough and front fender doesn't fit well. I'm riding the bike without it. It runs smooth so far.

My very first ebike and enjoying it so far (200 miles). Electric motor is certainly louder than other ebikes and some gears are more comfortable than others but overall, good bike for the money. Very sturdy and Very heavy. It flies by others on the road as going up to 30mph while on pedal assist is a no issue. Battery range is quite good too. I cycled 37miles with the lights on at 95% and ended with 40% end of the ride. No range anxiety here. Hydro brakes are pretty good and will stop you when applied. About 1-1,5sec delay in pedal assist for the motor to kick in, but hand throttle will help for the kickstart when needed. Was deciding between Aventon Level and Ride1Up 700 and pretty happy with my decision, given the extras that come with Ride1Up as an advantage. If you take your time while putting it together, you will have no issues. Hopefully support service will be good when and if needed too. If your budget allows, 700 seems to be at a good spot considering the available options, the quality of materials, build quality and practicality.

Very impressive packaging and quality of components. Assembly was fairly easy with the help of available videos. The controller can be finely tuned to the rider's preference (PAS % power). The motor power is impressive. The slow start option on the throttle helps to avoid surprise surges when moving the bike, as there is no option to shut it off. Things to improve: 1. Written assembly instructions are not accurate (bolt sizes and torque settings). 2. My controller cannot be changed to a % battery power in the display. Customer support could not resolve it. 3. The front brake hydraulic line is too short to allow a stem extension to raise the handlebars, or to put on a higher rise bar. 4. The electric cables need disconnect plugs for easy replacement of handlebar mounted components (as per competitors) 5. A throttle disable option would be nice. 6. Walking mode is way too fast.

Absolutely fantastic from the time I placed the order to the time I received the bike --- I did have it assembled at my mike shop and it was a good choice - I enjoy every minute of it . Nice touch to include a few tools and a warm woolly hat -- better photos on a warmer day

I look forward to riding my Ride1Up 700XR every day. I have logged over 320 miles in last three weeks, mostly commuting to work and back. The 8-gear transmission works well for my terrain. Shifting is precise. Hydraulic braking is excellent. The front shocks make for a surprisingly solid, smooth ride. The integrated headlight and taillight are a great safety feature, and since the lights draw power from the main battery, I turn them on every time to increase my visibility. The 14ah battery has never depleted fully. My longest ride was 36 miles, through hills, trails, and streets, with 20% remaining at the end. Customer support via email is prompt and excellent. After assembly, my front brake felt a little spongy, so I bought a hydraulic bleed kit and repaired it. R1U covered all the costs. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with the bike, or the company. If you are considering a commuter bike, the 700 series from Ride1Up is a great choice.

I don't think there is another ebike that compares for the value. Hydraulic brakes are incredible. Very balanced bike with perfect seat position. I purchased for my father and he turned around and bought one for his girlfriend. I have had 2 more friends purchase on my recommendation and they are super pleased. If I could offer one bit of advice....the assembly is just a bit much. Prefer open the box and go. But overall quality bike.

OMG once you ride one of these you will never go back to a regular bike. I love that i can now ride 40 mile s in 2-3 hours and not 5-6 like my regular Bike. I have over 800 miles logged and no issues. I normally use assist level 2 once and while hit the throttle for some hills but have been able to average 40 miles on 75-80% usage. Note Usage meter is not linear at all but you get used to it. I go 18 miles and it still reads 100% and i know that is wrong. Plan on purchasing a 2nd so i can get the wife out with me.

I did a lot of homework on E-bikes; in my comparisons, I kept coming back to Ride1Up for the value and quality. When they arrived, I couldn't get over how well they were packed and protected. Well done! We are so pleased with our 'his and her' bikes, and despite her initial fear, my wife has really taken to it. We still get our cardio, but when we need the boost, we love the power and range our 700 series gives us. We take them everywhere, including our camping trips. Awesome product!

I am absolutely tickled by Ramsay, my beloved 700. He has expanded horizons ranging from distance to hills to grocery getting, and he allowed my tow vehicle to rest while on a recent vacation with my travel trailer. He has even bested friends’ e-bikes that cost $1000-$2000 more. Kudos.

Amazing bike had a few minor problems with the front sprocket being bent causing the chain to slip in higher gears and the tire spokes needed to be adjusted. My bike also came with some minor scratches on the frame and a couple dents/scratches on the fenders. The battery life pretty decent if you don't just use the motor all the time. I think I may have preferred the step through a little more because i could fit larger water bottles to the frame as the too bar limits the size to small ones. Get a suspension seatpost your butt will thank you.

My wife and I both purchased the 700 series a couple of months ago. Assembly was reasonably easy but I ran into a snag with each bike that added a good 20 minutes to the process for each. On one, the conical spacer was stuck onto the the front fork post and required brute force (hammer and chisel, essentially) to knock it loose. On the other, getting the front fender aligned and a spaced properly took way too long. It seems that over time some of the hardware and parts have changed from when the instructions and instructional video were created, so some of the screws referenced don't match up exactly. However, what was provided certainly did the trick. I had both bikes checked out by a professional bike technician who gave them both a thumbs-up. I have to say, these bikes can take a beating. One of them was not properly secured on our hitch mount bike carrier and actually fell back off the carrier while moving at 65 mph. Fortunately, the wheel straps kept the back attached but it landed directly onto the end of the handlebar, which dragged along for 50 feet or so before I could get off the highway. Besides the end of the handlebar, grip and brake lever getting damaged, nothing else occurred and the bike remained rideable. My one complaint, however, it is that Ride1Up does not sell replacement parts directly. This is why I give them 4 stars instead of 5. When I inquired about parts I was told that I needed to purchase after-market replacements. And, while they provided a few Amazon links to get me started, I could not find the exact matching handlebar or grips. The link for the brake lever assembly was not for the one on the bike. Tektro, the brake manufacturer, does not sell direct to the public and it may be that model number is no longer available through them. I did find it through a Chinese distributor but can only purchase the entire two brake set including the calipers and cables, none of which I need. We have put about 175 miles on the bikes so far and really do enjoy the ride. The 750W motor has plenty of power. The batteries are giving use between 40 and 50 miles per charge, and we are usually using low to mid level PAS settings. We did change out the saddles to some Cloud 9 seats, although the original saddles are probably fine for younger, better padded butts. We have already recommended this bike to friends and strangers who have inquired.

Great Bike, would highly recommend. Its on the heavy side so if lifting it for a car bike rack is going to be a problem, go with a 500 series or roadster.

I've posted two reviews on the website, both very preliminary because of just having 1) recieved the bike and put it together, and 2) another at about 100 miles. Both reviews I rated at 4 Stars because of that: simply not enough interface with the product at that time. I wrote that I would be back for a more comprehensive review at 500 miles, but I think it isn't necessary to wait that long. There is enough to say at this point that the 700XR is a solid, no-nonsense commuter machine that gets the job done, and then some. I say this especially after having gone to my LBS and looked at what they offer at substantially higher prices. I can buy a decent used pickup truck for what many E-bikes are going for. At twice the price, I fail to see where I get twice the value - or even 25% more performance and range. The hub motor seems to ge me up thjat long, steep hill three days in a row before I have to recharge, buty that;s still in the ball park of 24 miles, hauling the bik, plus me at 235lbs, and another 17lbs of gear and a cooler for lunch. It make no extraneous noises and never gets warm. All I have had to do was adjust three spokes on the rear wheel that got a little loose Ans so, I have upgraded my rating to 5 Stars - earlier than I had planned, but unless a wheel breaks, or the COntrol Unit goes t.u., and I have to wait a month ot get another one, I don't see many problems ahead. Anyone in the Greater Seattle area that would like to try this bike can probably reach me on my YouTube channel. Just type in OutnBacker/canoe sailing/canoe trimaran sailing, or something like that. Drop me a line and I'll getback to you and get you set up.

Great quality e-bike and excellent value! I only removed a star because the motor is advertised as 750 watt but that is max power with 500 watts sustained. Other motors in the market are 750 with a higher max output. But, given all of the features including fenders, lights and hydraulic brakes, i still highly recommend the 700 series!

So, after 70 miles, here's an updated form the first initial impression below. As I guessed, with my 235 lbs, and very hilly commute, I get 23 miles before I re-charge at about 15%. if I get to 12%, the battery no longer provides any assist. Ask me how I know. I'm going to assume a far better range if my commute were flat or even half-flat. I'm satisfied with the battery so far. I already covered the generaly good components and hardware so nothing new there. I will say however, that I was surprised to notice that the wiring harness that xcomes from the Control Module is open to the weather and grimey spray from the road. Kinda scratchin' my head over that point. The bike is rated as water resistant to a degeree - not waterproof. I know that, but gosh - this is the heart of the electrical system, which, presumably, would be the most difficult component to replce. So, I McGuyvered it by cutting a plastic port cover to fit, and sealed it with silicone. See pics. Very impressed with the road control, due to the weight. I ride hard, and take my turns fast, and the Schwalbe's really hold the front tire tothe road. No skitter or feeling of losing the slot. Much like my motorcycle. Frame is super stiff and there is not a hint of steering wobble. My return commute has a nice 1.8 mile downhill on which I can hit 34mph, so I softened the shocks a little and it handles the vibrations better. This weekend I went over it with all the allen wrenches and re-torqued everything. Tires still have the 80PSI I put in when new. I have to adjust three or four rear spokes a bit, since the hard cornering has showed normal loosenings. Lights are adeuqate but I added white side flickers for the forks and two for the rear to augment the solid tail light. Flickers get attention. I also striped it with white DOT tape and added patches on the rims to show circular movement. It's starting to get dark when I ride home and it helps with this stealth bike. So, I'll be back at 500 miles. Cheers.

Ordering was easy. Shipping was fast. Packaging exceeded my expectations. Assembly was a challenge and I am a DIY guy. The video referenced was not as detailed as I would like and the handlebar stem compression ring and pedals did not seat easily ultimately leading to multiple emails to Ride1Up. All of them responded to within a day or two and provided the information I needed. Unfortunately, I couldn't wait to hear back about the pedals and forced them ultimately requiring me to buy a new crank. Replacement crank was only $44 and seemed to seat the pedals much easier. I ended up having it tuned up and checked over at a local bike shop for about $35. Money well spent in my opinion. I ride to and from work most days and try to get a 50-60 mile ride in on the weekends. I absolutely LOVE this bike and how it has allowed me to get back into biking. I test rode several different brands (Aventon, Juiced, Magnum) and this is the best riding for what you get and what you pay. All components are good quality, motor is smooth and quiet (as motors go) and I love the integrated lights and pannier bag (add on). I am thinking about getting another for my wife!

Only one day after receiving my 700 series XR, I can’t even begin to tell you how tickled I am with it. The care with which the components were chosen, the frame built, and the bike partially assembled and very cautiously packed and shipped spoke volumes the moment I opened the box. Assembling it proved very straightforward, especially with the assistance of the video. Putting its first miles on it today was an absolute joy, and it handled everything I throughout it with verve and skill, including steep gravel and paved hills. A friend who spent $1000 more on his Trek was blown away and a little disappointed by how much nicer the 700 was - and faster, too. ;). I still have and love my conventional mountain and road bikes, but this brings a whole new dimension to loving and enjoying bikes.

I have received lots of compliments. Just got my 700ST I had it dropped shipped to a local bike shop for assembly. Glad to see it arrived with advertised components, unlike the bike I cancelled with Aventon. I really like the pedal assist customization and the ability to use the throttle only when starting up a steep hill. I decided to remove the front fender for personal preference. Very nice bike for the price even after the increase.

Gotta say I’m impressed. Just about 1,000 miles on my new 700 bike and so far I really like the bike. Handling is great and the ride is very comfortable. Plenty of power even as the battery drains through my daily 25+ mile rides. I’d love to see Ride1Up offer a mid motor belt drive with a throttle. If they did I’d buy one today and use the 700 as my spare bike. Great service support and very timely responses. I believe you can’t find a better bike for the money.

Delivered on time, packed well with no damage. Assembly took a full morning. Needed to refer to both written and video instructions. Fenders fit kinda close to the tires and screw lengths didn't match up exactly to the instructions, but I was able to work it out without too much effort. The end result was almost perfect other than the tires being a bit out of true. It was close enough and everything worked well so I didn't take it to a bike shop. I have put about a hundred miles on it. Works and performs as advertised. Very happy. Makes me smile whenever I use it. There is a bit of a learning curve to using an ebike. So be careful, go slow near pedestrians, wear a helmet and have fun. P.S. Buy a good lock

This is lengthy, but written for those who are shopping and not sure yet. Received my 700XR yesterday and put it together in the apparently nominal 2 hours, including un-boxing, etc. I give 4 stars right now because I have no idea what it will be like at 50 miles, let alone 500, or even 5,000. I bough it for a 7 mile round trip commute, and occasional short trips to the store. That commute has a 1.7 mile long climb of 250ft - which is a lunger for a pedal bike, unless you are in great shape, 160lbs, and 25.5 years of age. I am none of that. But, I am an experienced former cyclist. So, my 4 stars is based on the mechanics, the ease of assembly, the bikey parts, and general impressions. Let's go: Out of the box, it is typical. For a beginner, it might be daunting, but just go slow. It'll come together if you have any idea of how to put a round part into a round hole. The booklet that comes with it should be edited for better clarity, but I got past that because I have a bit of experience with this sort of thing. Others have said that the threads need chasing with a tap. I found four holes that required that treatment, but I have taps so no big deal. If you don't have taps, there is a possibility of galling or stripping threads in the hole if you try to force the bolt. The headlight does not fit the fender mount in any secure way, so I added washers to take up the slack. The rear light has overly long mounting studs that require a supplied Ny-Lock nut. I suggest mounting the light BEFORE you mount the rack due to lack of space to turn a very tiny wrench. The pedals are super cheesy. As bad as I've ever seen on any Wally World bike at the Blu Light Special. I have extra old school pedals that are actually serviceable and have bearings, so I dumped the toy pedals pretty quick. Here's why: The bike is a behemoth at 62lbs. If that battery goes T-up because you didn't want to charge it, you will understand what pedaling such a beast is like - and you won't likely decide to delay re-charging again. Therefor, it is wise to have the best , most limber pedals you can find on such a tank. Why have the increased friction of pedals without bearings? Get better pedals of ANY old school MTB. The rear brakes drag a bit, and I don't have the courage to try to turn the barrel adjuster at the lever in order to loosen the cable tension. It just doesn't want to turn. What's up with that??? The cable entry at the brake seems non-adjustable. I do not want to take it to a bike shop, but I may have to. I ditched the very basic saddle for a real saddle - my trusty Brooks B-67. I recommend Brooks saddles like no other. Been at it for 40 years. Been through a ton of saddles. I could do yard art with all the failures I've accumulated. For the posture on the 700's (and 500's) a B-67 is about perfect. And it has coil springs which EASILY equal the far more complex and expensive rear suspension on most bikes. With these bikes, you're not stump-jumping, you're commuting and doing utility cycling. Coils under your arse are more than adequate. That's it for the cons. Now for the pros: Generally good and sturdy construction. I doubt the fame will ever fail and I'm 235lbs. The fork suspension is workmanklike and I expected no more. They do adjust, but they will never be supple. You need to spend a lot more for that. Still, they do help if you have carpal tunnel or arthritis in the shoulders. You can always reduce the PSI in the front tire, too. Power. There's plenty of power. How long it lasts is up to the rider, and the limits of our primitives battery technology. Today, I will ride up to my workplace as a mock run for tomorrow morning. As I said earlier, it is a long uphill run, but coming back may be the saving grace for what may be a 3-day charge cycle, if I do my part. Yesterday's 4 mile test run was pretty amazing. 32mph top speed on a slight down run, with 16 being the average over 17 minutes of riding. At #4 Pedal Assist Setting, I could keep up with arterial traffic which is 25mph here. For how long? I have no idea yet, but I'm VERY impressed with the power and acceleration. Some people say that a Mid Drive motor is so much better, but unless you absolutely don't like your Hub Drive, I see no reason to spend more to get a Mid Drive. There is a 2 second delay as you begin pedaling before the motor kicks in, but no big deal. The brakes cut off the motor until you begin pedaling again. I was happy that the rack, a massive thing, is designed so that my expensive Ortlieb bags can be used, while at the same time, my rack-top bag can also be mounted. That allows me to pack my raingear (tops, bottoms, plus spats), and still have room for a Man's lunch for work. The stock lights are very bright. I'll add side lights and reflective tape in copius amounts by this winter. Better to look like Tron than a stealth cyclist , courting death. Those guys really bother me when they pop out of nowhere in front of my semi. The tires are good quality, and I'll wear them out as is. But, I intend to go with a thinner tire in the future because of the decreased rolling resistance. Yes, it's a real factor in pedaling - and, in the life of a battery. Decrease the footprint and the rolling mass, and you increase your efficiency, both if pedaling or using power. No Ford Bronco ever gets more than 11 mpg with those 33 Super Swampers. I'll go with 1-3/4" road treads. In the meantime, I'll keep the PSI up to max for the best rolling footprint I can get. So, for $1695 plus tax, that's what I have to say----so far. if things go south in a hury, I'll be back with some words. I just hope the company is up to the task of providng customer support when they have a Chinese supply chain. People have Lots of sad stories at every level with that - whether it's a pair of shoes or tool at Harbor Fright. Hope this review helps. Good luck!

I received my bike and had it put together without a problem. I tried out all the features on a leisurely 10 mile ride on a local bike path last week, and really enjoyed it. (In fact, my husband, the REAL bicyclist, was so impressed he has now ordered one and we are eagerly awaiting its arrival and exploring much more of our region together). I’m a bit nervous about keeping it safe, dry, etc. more than I am about riding it- it’s SO easy to ride, and it’s very responsive.

Wow! I absolutely love this bike! Assembly was easy with the tools and information provided. Afterwards, I took it for a 10-mile test ride. The comfort and performance was FANTASTIC. I chose the 700 primarily because it has hydraulic brakes, and I live on a ridge with very steep inclines. But wait! There's more... The folks at Ride1up made many excellent improvements to the early version of the 700 that I saw in YouTube (EBR) reviews. The 700 I received has much better integrated lighting; Improved engineering of the rear fender fastener; Added better pedals; Moved the kickstand towards the rear, away from the pedals; In addition, they added a subtle chain "slap guard" to protect the frame from chipping. Collectively, these engineering improvements add up to an awesome bike! Nicely done. This 700 Series ebike EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!!! Compliments to all on the Team at Ride1up who listened the Customer and evolved and adapted to make this excellent product. You guys certainly earned this positive feedback. I am delighted with this bike. Best regards.

OMG Bought this to get my wife back on bike an I love it ! Still working on some power adjustments. got 34 miles with about 15 % battery left. I think i can do better, brought assist 2 up a little and 3 down a little. It is almost hard to keep it under 15 MPH !! Assembly was under 1 hour but i Have worked on my own bikes for 45 yrs so no real issues. I purchased a rack for $ 167 form Northern tool ! holds 2 bikes rated @200lbs what a great deal!. I use my Goldwing 1800 Trike to get to the local trails

I researched e bikes for four months before I bought my 700ST. In fact, I surely spent >way< too much time doing so, you can ask my wife about that. I wanted a nice experience out of the box, without spending more than $2000. I just retired and wanted something fun that would get me some more exercise than sitting around watching Netflix. I also wanted a bike that was fast - as well as having enough torque to get up hills. Finally narrowed my search down to Ride1Up and Aventon, but Ride1Up ultimately came out first in the bang-for-your-buck category. I love my 700ST, and it puts a grin on my face every time I ride it.

Wow I love my 700 series ebike more every time I use it. I live in Canada and we have a lot of hills but with the pedal assist I can climb just about every hill in our city. I enjoy riding my bike to work more and I get to save on gas from not using my vehicle. I literally have nothing negative to say about this bike whatsoever and if you're looking for a ebike this would be the one to buy. ????????

I love the 700ST. It's solid and I feel safe. The build is noteworthy and quality. Assembly was easy. I was disappointed that the front wheel was extremely out of true and fortunately I had a bike rack on my car to take it to the local shop to fix. The good news is Ride1Up reimbursed me for that inconvenience. I do wish the motor was a bit quieter and the vibration at certain PAS levels and speed didn't shake up the seat. But that's intermittent and not enough to dissuade me from recommending this great bike.

My 700 series has been a great bike so far. Try to stick to lower assist most of the time. Battery lasts forever. Not sure the percentage indicated for battery life is accurate. Stays at 100% a long time. Very easy to modulate the assist level to the conditions. Doubt the much more expensive bikes I shopped could do much better

Very happy with the purchase of my 700 Series. This has been the best thing I have bought in many years. I told my wife, it takes the suck [hills & headwinds] out of riding a bike. I now look forward to exercising; if you can call it that. Had been thinking about getting an ebike for over two years, since I first stumbled across their existence. Looked into many brands and then saw the 700 Series review done by Bolton Ebikes. A little more research into Ride 1 Up and I was finally sold. They seemed to have the best overall value for the price. I am very pleased with the bike's fit, finish, quality and performance. 34 miles on first charge with heavy use of assist. 43 miles on second charge with assist limited to 100w & 215w [80% of time/flat terrain]. I love this Bike. Don't hesitate to get an ebike like I did. You will love it, guaranteed!

I have always loved to ride and now my 700xr is allowing me to continue my love of riding. Once you get the hang of operating, it is an awesome experience. My 700 seems well built for the price range, it is easy to handle for me and comfortable. I do carry a lot of gear, have a cargo trailer, and weigh 220lbs. Fully loaded I have no problem riding 25-35 miles. With a light load I've done 64 miles. My 700 is approaching 700 miles with 9 months left on the warranty. I think it is a great value.

Great bike. I’ve commuted 350 miles in the last 2-1/2 weeks on it. Solid performance for what I’m looking for it to do. A co-worker ordered a 500 series after riding mine for trail riding with his grand daughter. I travel 15 miles each direction in PAS setting 3. 600ft elevation gain. Battery left uphill is 38%, down hill 48%. I tried a “turbo” ride in PAS 5 uphill. There was 14% battery life left. Very happy with this ride for spring commuting leaving just before sunrise.

My 700XR has been the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a loooong time! And don't be fooled by claims of an ebike being a cheat when it comes to exercise, either. I've ridden much farther and longer on this thanks to pedal assist than I ever did on my man-powered bike, and the post-activity burn I'm feeling in my core and legs doesn't lie. Sure, you'll get the most calorie burn from a manual bike, but when those rides are uncomfortable and you feel like you're not getting anywhere, you eventually stop. With this, I've ridden every day since I got it, at least 45 minutes and 12+ miles per ride, and I'm always looking forward to the next day when I can do it again. This thing is just awesome!

I bought two 700s, an ST and XR for me and my wife. They have been game changers for our riding experience. We can actually ride together without me always waiting for her to catch up. I am still surprised to find her right behind me on long rides. A 15 to 20 mile ride is no longer a difficult ride for her. They have worked perfectly for us right out of the box and assembly was challenging on the first one but a breeze on the second after the first experience. We are in our mid 60s and plan to utilize these bikes in our near retirement for years to come.

I recently purchased a 700 XR. I did tons of research into finding the perfect, affordable, e-bike and this was the only logical decision. I wanted something that would be good to ride through the Pine Barrens where I live. I couldn't be more satisfied with this product. It's so frigging fast and the battery life is exceptional. Thank you for such an amazing bike. I can't wait to get out and explore more with it.

Very pleased with my purchase of the XR 700 Series. I'm a larger guy pushing the upper limits of the weight restrictions of the bike, and I must say that this bike is a beast. It had no trouble getting me up to speed and I was able to get 28 mph with level 5 assist. I honestly didn't expect the bike to perform as well as it has. Having put over 30 miles on the bike since receiving it two days ago, I'm glad I made the choice to buy this bike. Also, would very much recommend the phone holder accessory they offer. It's a nice item and holds my iPhone 11 perfectly and securely. Get one, get on it, and get going! Thanks, Ride1Up!

I Looooove the 700 ST. Good parts. Great features. Great value. Perfect for commuting, shopping, riding for fun. Fits nice. Extremely comfortable ride. Easy to stand up and climb if I want/need to. I’m 5’7” with a 30” inseam. DOWNLOAD. THE. UPDATED. MANUAL (https://ride1up.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/65000167851). The 700 ST has some nice upgraded parts that are not in the online photos/video: rear kickstand, upgraded rear fender (easier install, no flange nut needed), & adjustable stem. The manual that was shipped with the bike does not reflect these new upgraded parts. So don’t freak out. You probably aren’t missing parts. Just check the updated manual. Also, be careful with your torque settings. I strongly recommend using a torque wrench to securely fasten your parts. But the shipped manual has incorrect torque settings for the clamp bar. See the attached photo for my explanation regarding the torque settings. Other than that, no regrets. Will report commuting experience & battery life (13.3 mi one-way) after a month or so & dialing in my PAS settings.

I spent quite a long time researching and studying not only this bike but this segment of bikes, for me it came down to the Aventon Level and the 700 Series. in the end, the Ride1up was exactly the same quality as the Aventon so it came down to features, the customizable assist levels are way more important than people think! other than that the 700 had: Color Display, Water Bottle cage bracket, Tektro Hydraulic brakes, Leather Ergo Grips, Integrated Lights, and 25% more suspension travel... oh, and the price was 100$ cheaper! if you threw a trek logo on the side of this you could sell it for twice the price and no one would question it. I am very satisfied with my choice!

Everything looks good except for a chip in the paint. We didn't want to go through the hassle of returning for something so small. Would you please send us some touch up paint?

Purchased his and hers 700’s less than a month ago. Super comfortable esp with the plush saddles. Assembly was also a breeze - thanks to the detailed video by Ride1up! Throttle is very responsive and the pedal assist is super smooth. However, a slightly bigger LCD screen and a rear shock via the seat post would’ve completed this sweet bike..!! I would consider buying another Ride1up if they ever come out with a “fat tire” model..!! Thanks 1up...!!!

Great bike! Most of my biking experience dates back many years as a kid, but wanted something fun and useful to help us get outside more in retirement. I use this bike for all kind of short errands. Quality construction and components that haven't let me down. I was also surprised that it is much easier to use even without power on level terrain than I expected. I did add a trunk bag that easily adapted to the back rack provided. My first electric bike so nothing I can compare to, but an all around winner for me that I hope to use many years.

Just assembled my 700 and got my first 10 miles in after the snow melted here in Boise. I really appreciate the level 3 power and comfortable ride. I compared the 700 against the big brand and came away liking the feature level for the same money. There is definitely more work in assembly but not that difficult. I would say the instruction manual needs some help with more detail and photos to help identify which bolts go where but nothing that is a deal breaker.

This bike compares to other models that are $3,000 and more. I am very happy with the bike as well as the individual components. Battery/range is fantastic. Motor is powerful. Brakes, gears, etc are great! I get compliments on my bike every time I ride!

Great bike. Tested in parking lot several times. Finally took them out for a ride on the trail. Half a mile later my wife took a fall, broken shoulder required reverse shoulder replacement. Both bikes sold three days later. I’m sure new owners are enjoying them.

Solid well build E-bike. Only regret was I didn't do it sooner. I did have an issue with it 200 miles in, and the customer support was outstanding for me, it was done correctly and toughly, to my complete satisfaction. One main thing potential buyer need to understand this is not an entry level bike, this is a solid well equipped, quality parts at a slightly higher entry level price, well less than bike of the same quality. I did put the bike together myself, while not very difficult it did take some time, all the electronics were already done, and all I had to assemble was the basic bike stuff, handle bars, seat, front wheel. I did take it to my local E-bike shop for inspection of my work, hey going 30 MPH I wanted to ensure I didn't forget to tighten a bolt. The shop sells ebikes @ $3000 and higher was very impressed with it, said I got a great deal, and joked (maybe a little concerned) don't tell anybody where I got it. I did promise them they get all my mod business (saddle bags, mirrors and all the other addons) and tune-ups, I plan on riding this for long time.

I spent several weeks shopping for an e-bike and wanted to find a sweet spot where good quality met good service and pricing. All search results landed on the 700 series. I have put 1000 miles on the bike and it is a wonderfully designed and built machine. Comfortable and well thought out components. I had a spoke go out and worked with the Ride1up team and they got me back on the road. Planning on two more bikes for the family this year and Ride1up is our choice.

LUV this bike, it's fast and easy to operate. I was worries it may be a bit too heavy for me, but no - I easily lift it up to put on the car rack and up/down to a 2nd floor apartment. Not going off-road with it/not my thing and really having a blast on paved roads and bikes trail.

Have been a owner for about 10 months. Purchased the bike during beginning of Covid. I wanted to get some exercise, but have some steep hills around my house that made it difficult to ride. The peddle assist made it easier to navigate those hills. So far I have really enjoyed riding this bike. Some people say that I am cheating, but I only use peddle assist so you do get a lot of exercise. I love riding this bike!

I bought this bike February of 2020 to commute to work which did not pan out due to COVID but found out it was great for many other things. I typically ride in PAS level 3-4 and solo rides upwards of 25 miles leave me with at least 50% battery still! It has plenty of power and low gears to get up even the steepest hills. I have not actually ever drained the battery and never have any worries about running out. Assembly went OK and took about 3 hours for me. The hardest part was getting the wires attached to the rear light, I'm concerned how secure the connection to them is and dread the day one of the wires slips off. I also did not tighten the crank arm bolt anywhere near tight enough causing some clicking that took awhile to figure out. On large jarring bumps the chain has come off a few times. I had a some early issues with the brake sensor disabling the motor which I eventually nailed down with trial and error adjustments. Overall I considered these to be minor issues and got 1200 miles in one season! One thing to consider is it is heavy which I didn't fully realize until I looked at my bike rack, I ended up having to invest in a fairly expensive 2" hitch bike rack to make sure it could support the weight and also meant I couldn't haul it with my smaller vehicle. I hooked this up with a Burley trailer and went all over the suburbs with the kids (1 and 4) to enjoy the outdoors as well as grocery shopping and any other trips where it made sense. I believe the rear motor was perfect as it put less strain on the drivetrain and the throttle made for easy maneuvering and starts. It has been a blast to ride and has re-sparked my interest in biking after a 9 year hiatus. Everyone who I offer to take a spin on it; young and old, in shape and not, always come back with a giant smile and asking where they can get one. By the end of the year I could tell my biking ability had greatly increased when I got on a normal bike it was much easier. This bike was by far the best thing I purchased in 2020 and have 0 regrets.

I bought two of them, one for my wife and for myself, and we could not be more pleased with our Ride1Up 700's. Plus, our two Pups love the cart I built for them to ride in, that we pull behind our bikes. Fun, Fun. Any of you laugh at E-bikes, You Are Silly, as you get Much More exercise on them than you do a Regular bike, because when you get tired on the Regular bike you put it up for a couple of days, a week, maybe even a month. With the Ride1Up E-Bike, when you get tired, you hit the switch and ride and recuperate, then pedal again, getting Twice or even more exercise,, than you would have with a regular bike. And, Ride1Up is the Very Finest E-Bike you will find, Even for Twice what they sell them for.

My wife and I like to bike but at 68 we need added assistance to GO. The Ride1Up bikes showed after a backlog, we had them built by a local pro and have so enjoyed them since. The batter is incredible. Last week we took a 20 mile ride, tried to peddle as much as possible but with assist at various levels we were so on the GO. The entire bike, too many good stuff to write are all very good. I cannot say enough good things about this e-bike.

It's how a company responds that makes all the difference. It's not uncommon for products that boast a lot of technology or with a complicated set of parts and components to have issues. Factor in that some customers are unfamiliar with assembly/set-up and/or operation and there is a greater chance for an "issue." Thanks to the good people at Ride1Up and their responsive and reliable customer service staff most concerns are virtually eliminated. After building my 700 I notices that one of my tires had a gouge in the rubber; I sent them a photo and they sent me a new tire. And, with the Ride1Up on-line user groups answers to most questions are just a click away. Thank you for being so engaged with your customers. Understanding our needs, wants and potential issues has but Ride1Up at the top of the list of quality eBike manufacturers.

Fun bike overall!!! Pro’s: 1. Great looking. 2. Fast-Got it up to 28 mph. 3. Battery: 1 mile per 1% consistent so one battery going 30-60 miles at 20/25 mph is perfect for me. 4. Pro’s outweigh the Cons below. So, 4 stars. Con: 1. Front wheel received with slight wobble/out of round = bothersome. This is the worst critique. 2. Some noise in gears while peddling = bothersome 3. Controller not user friendly to understand at all. I still have no idea how to run the lights, fine tune my riding/battery/overall use. Sensitivity: really??, what is that? 4. Seat= Totally useless/removed immediately. Replaced with Cloud-9 seat and added extra spring. See pic. If I’m going to ride 30+ minutes, have to be comfortable. 5. Not enough Handlebar real estate. Crowded. See pic.

I am new to ebikes, but I am pretty sure I made the right choice, pretty easy to put together we did it in our living room, easy to ride I like the weight, the style, The frame of the ST is perfect because I am short. Although my boyfriend at 6’ puts the seat up and gets a good ride too! The turnaround time between ordering and arrival was super quick, And everything was well packaged and undamaged. Looking forward to spring & summer, I have only had a few chilly rides this December in VT, it seems to have plenty of power and battery life.

Coming on 300 miles bike is still doing great. Almost time for a Spoke tensioner but they’re still doing excellent. Quite phenomenal worked on the brakes a little bit got every hundred miles you get about 62 over 70 miles per charge I lower the amperage down for pedal-assist 1 and 2 nice to be able to do that. Physical features how I rigged it out in the photographs below the seat post is different. The place where I have the trailer hitch mounted is fabricated. Added bike lights not that the bike needs more lights at all and they don’t really draw that much energy off the battery.

Great bike overall I’ve put 50 miles on it and I can say it’s does what it’s intended to do. The fenders don’t make noise contrary to some reviews, the bike is very sturdy and makes you feel in control; something you need when your riding at 28mph! Handles and seat are very comfortable and shifter is perfectly located by your right hand fingers. The water bottle’s holders position are a bit inconvenient in that i can’t fit a regular 20 oz canteen because of the top bar being slanted down, but I’ll just have to get another smaller bottle. One other issue I found was that the battery percentage on the controller doesn’t seem to be quiet accurate in displaying what’s left, maybe it goes off of the watts your using at that current time to determine what’s left because when I lower my assistance it goes back up in percentage. Either way the pros are above and beyond for the price. All I need is my panniers and I’m set, good job ride1up!

I’ve had mine for about 4 months. Great bike overall. I’ve put about 250 miles on it. A few things I wish were better, but for the price you can’t find a better bike. Trust me I tried.

Awesome bike a bit of a rougher ride. Only thing I I would change is the fenders are jiggly. It is a fun bike to ride.

Built bike with my son then took to bike shop to make sure i put it together properly. They said we did a good job. I really enjoy riding my new bike. Thinking of getting one for rest of family.
