I have a 500 series and is a good bike they have to work in the weight i think is too heavy. I have a friend with another brand ebike with fat tires and bigger body but much lighter than mime…Also the 17.5 ah is great i would like to see in the future a battery with more capacity

I bought this as a backup while it was on sale. I think it was a good investment, but to be honest I haven’t needed it. The standard battery is providing all the power I need so far. Still glad I bought it for the upcoming summer rides

An extra battery is essential for those long distance trips.

A little disappointed. The battery didn’t last as long as I expected. My smaller one has lasted for 24miles. This one has gone 32 miles on the first try and only 27 miles on the second…Both mostly throttle only. The terrain is mostly flat. However the last time there was a lot of wind. I hope to try again with better results.

I have had my MTB 500 for just over a year and I have put 4500 miles on it and the original battery. When I first got the bike the battery would give me between 45-50 miles per charge but through the year it was down to between 15-20. This all being with pedal assist being used almost exclusively. I average pedal assist between 3-6 with the upgraded computer. I do an occasional 7 or 8 at rare times just to fly. The new battery arrived with all four lights active so I went with it without additional charging. I got 76 miles on its first cycle and it felt like more power than my original battery. I went on rides of 20, 20, 10, 10 and 16 before it died completely. I was near home when it went out. I let it cool off for a couple of hours and it is now on recharge.

The 17.5 is great. It fits exactly and is same size as the 10.4. Weight is really close, maybe 1lb heavier.
It’s so much stronger, not even close to the 10.4. I went for a 50 mile ride yesterday using passenger 5 to 9 and throttle to get thru intersections ect.
I had 2 lights on battery right after and now it on 3 lites. Amazing. Everyone talked range and this battery will add range to a fantastic level. 80 plus miles I think will not b a problem. Because it’s a generic battery case it should be usable on others 48v bikes and extend it in a big way.
Ride on gave a nice first time customer they gave me a 129 off which made mr seem s

Bought the 17.5ah battery to extend my range and ensure I dont get stuck. 50 mile rideand still alot of power left. It is the exact size as the 10.4 and only seems a little heavier.
    Great price too.

This thing is a beast. My 22 mile commute to the office (over 500 ft elevation) can now be done at pedal assist lvl 9 and I still have about half of the battery remaining. Before (with the 10.4ah standard battery), I would be running on empty after the commute at pedal assist lvl 7.
