Price to value is super good, for the components that come with the bike. The rim v-breaks are more than effective and work very well. Shipping to Hawaii is expensive but it is to be expected considering current events. My brother in TX shipped me my bike via fed-ex for a cheaper rate, after I shipped to him at the free cost per web page deal. Just consider the 5 pedal assist levels as gears when it comes to the hills you encounter, even though this is not a hill climbing bike. Battery range 27 miles on single charge flat lands with head wind, and some level 2 use to get up small inclines. The saddle is comfortable even without bib-shorts. I am 182 lbs. I got a size small and I'm 5'8". Also I ordered the extra battery for the down tube area, and should double my range and make using the upper levels a less conservative method. I installed a shock absorption seat post for more comfort on bumpy roads. Bike weight is light which is good. I have taken it 24 mph with level 5 pas. Biking level 1 feels comfortable and good to ride in. I am a injured athlete and this has made my bicycling dreams come true again because the PAS is very responsive. I am a 10+ year avid cyclist and I enjoy the looks and geometry a lot. I got the silver colorway. I've been against e-bikes for most of my cycling but now that I am a injured athlete, I learned & changed for the better, and I can honestly say it is a wonderful tool to have in the quiver and makes bicycling fun again! Don't knock-it before you try it.

I have had my Roaster v2 for almost a year tried to add extra battery the wires did fit so I sent the battery back . Support told me I needed extra adjustment but it was too late I had decided not to do it.

I received my Roadster Battery a couple of days ago.
Install was a breeze, hardest part was stuffing all the wires in when closing up the tube.
I owned the RoadsterV2 for over a year and have had no issues in quality or problems with the bike at all.
I bought the RoadsterV2 for its simplicity.
Simpler means less to malfunction and less maintenance.
I live in possibly the most hilly region of the USA in WV, and the brakes on the Roadsters handle all of these roller coaster downhills with ease.
RoadsterV2 handles all of those crazy up-hills well unless you have to start from zero momentum at the foot of one.
In cases with massive hills and I have to start from zero, I walk the Roadster up the hill.
95% of my ride doesn’t require this.
As for the battery life if you keep the Roadster on PAS 1 most of the time with this add-on battery you should get at least 40 miles.
With no power assist the single gear on the Roadster is very tough to ride even on level ground.
Try not to use level 5 too much and if you’re on massive hills, it’s probably better to walk it up to save on wear and tear on the battery, motor and parts.
All about the exercise with me and keeping my bike operational for as long as possible.
Ride1up makes an excellent e-bike and there is no getting around the price point of the RoadsterV2 even with the add-on battery is exceptionally low for this level of quality.
I’m happy with Ride1up and my purchases, I would recommend Ride1up highly to anyone I meet that is interested in an e-bike.

My Day 1 review: Works as advertised and is very fun to ride! I have a little bike assembly experience, so this was a piece of cake, and I like the beanie winter hat they sent also. Definitely have to look at the website for operational instructions, but that’s not a problem. My only beef with the bike is that the wheels were not true, so I will have to take them in for truing at some point. Aside from that, I maintain it is well worth its relatively low cost.

The auxillary battery was installed by my bike mechanic, and all went very well. The battery is working great, and gives the additional range I expected, with minimal added weight to the bike. Of course I prefer the stealth look of original bike, but I seem to be the only person that finds it a little different looking. Everyone I ask about the look think it is a water bottle, or thermos of coffee, and don’t think it looks out of keeping for the Roadster. Good job designing the extra battery.

this really works as advertised….not real heavy and easy install with a little thought of how the controller was removed…doubled my range, easily removed to charge, and maybe a little pricey but I am glad I made the install tom kirby
