LOVE the bike, great power, excellent shifting, love the throttle, goes up the steepest hills with no problem, battery easy to take off and on and makes bike much lighter so you can load on normal bike rack. Shock is ok, doesn't do much. Seat is comfortable and easy to adjust height. We removed fenders because didn't like the noise of them rattling. Bike tire tube's on 1 bike were defective but Ride 1 up very good to deal with and responded quickly and fairly. I would definitely recommend these bikes !

Both bikes came adequately packaged with no damage either mechanically or cosmetic. Nice! although those tires took a little while to come back to original shape. The second (black) bike's rear wheel was out of true with some VERY loose spokes but luckily I can true wheels and had the tools...a few minutes on the truing stand has seemed to fix it. While both bike's derailleurs were surprisingly very well tuned, the second bike's shifter was installed pressing against the brake lever such that the trigger was binding and inop. Once it was rotated away everything was fine. Brakes were also surprisingly very well adjusted, with just a little fine tuning needed on aligning the front calipers to prevent rubbing. I noticed on both bikes that the headlight's "lower mounting arm" was installed backwards (There is a recess for the mounting hardware on one side and the other side is flat which should mount against the fender tab. Easy fix to flip around. In terms of "fit and finish", both were superb! The matte surface is quite attractive and appears durable. I will note that on the second bike (recurring theme here?) there were a few of the mounting bosses that had to be chased with a tap due to paint ingress. Also one of the bottle cage screws, (you guessed it..second bike) was bent and was a bitch to get out. Luckily the threads weren't damaged too bad and were easily cleaned up with a tap. All in all I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the ease of the final assembly needed, the tools provided, and the excellent support assembly instructions and videos. (While I fall into the category of fairly experienced in bike maintenance and have all of the tools, you folks have made it about as foolproof as possible for customers without the experience.) BTW, the tools that were provided were again quite a surprise. Generally tools that are supplied for assembly are usually junk. Your stuff was actually pretty decent quality..although I have allen wrenches coming out of my ears now..and the beanies..super nice touch! Added a couple of Topeak racks which fit very well (don't have to use their "disc" mounting versions..regular mount works just fine) and upgraded the pedals to some lightweight nylon MTB style which provide better shoe contact than the "W's" provided, although the OEM ones are more than adequate.

I finally decided on what my first e-bike was going to be, and I'm glad I chose the LMT'D. I mainly got it for the fact that it has a torque sensor, but the other features are satisfactory. The upright seating position, step through frame, and swept back handlebars make this an excellent commuter bike. The throttle will keep me around 20mph easily. As for the pedal assist, I can keep it around 25mph pedaling comfortably, but with a little more hard pedaling I can get up to that 28mph top speed, and even a little more with some tail wind. While I'm not a big fan of derailleurs, the Shimano Altus is quick and snappy with the shifting. The gears come in handy quite a lot with hill climbing, which I should mention this bike is a hill climbing beast. On the lowest gear on the highest pedal assist, this thing handles even the steepest hills in my town, and there are a lot of hills here. As of now I use this bike for daily commuting to work and back. It does exactly what it needs to and it's super fun to ride. Thankfully, it is also a bit lighter than most other e-bikes, meaning that I can get this up and down the stairs in my apartment complex. Some things to note: The assembly is a bit tricky and time consuming. Be prepared for it, make sure to watch Ride1Up's video. The lock nut for the chain ring is counterclockwise, and it comes with a 1/2inch driver tool, which is handy. Make sure to do some setting up with the derailleur within your first few rides to make sure that it's shifting quickly and not clanking or scratching while you pedal. Check the box for any loose screws; I ended up finding the screw for the screen mount after searching the box for any missing parts. I willing gave up having a pre installed rack and integrated taillight so I could have a torque sensor, but I say it's a fair compromise for the price. I can always get the rack Ride1Up sells for it afterwards. If you want a torque sensor e-bike, this is the one to get. If you don't mind the cadence sensor and you want the rack and taillight, Ride1Up also sells the 700 Series bike for the same price. Overall, the bike is awesome. It's fast, fun, climbs hills, and it's great for commuting. I would highly recommend this bike to anyone that wants a powerful e-bike with a torque sensor.

On a scale of 1-10, I would give it an 11 if I could. I don't write a lot of reviews, but this bike is AMAZING. It demands a few words for the folks at Ride1Up. They have built a superior product. I purchased the bike a few months ago for use as a "gravel bike". I ride 50% pavement and 50% fire roads and trails. After an initial disappointment upon receiving a bent rear wheel out of the carton (not R1U's fault, the trucker mishandled), they quickly replaced it with a spare and paid for the installation at my local shop. Bonus points for customer service. Since then, it has been an absolute blast to ride. I live in a hilly area and the final climb up a monster hill to my house always required extra motivation to ride my old Trek mountain bike. No more! I have added a set of Schwalbe Hurricane tires to give it a bit more bite on gravel/dirt paths. The Groove-E tires that came with were great for street riding, but a little scary in fast corners off-road. I also added a stem extender to the handle bars, since I am 6' 3" and the frame geometry was a tad small. With the extender, it is fine. The stem extender was cheap and quick to install, taking all of 5-10 minutes. Let me say that the torque sensor on this bike is phenomenal. It is way, WAY better than a cadence sensor bike and it really smooths out the hills. The front air shock is also fantastic. Overall, the bike's setup lets me get a great workout in when I really push it. Yes, it is a heavy bike, but I still find my workouts are mostly with zero peddle assist, except on big hills, or when I am really tired heading home. Meanwhile, when I am going for a lazy cruise on a Sunday afternoon, it is a smooth, comfy ride. In either case, the bike has fantastic range. Overall, kudos to the peeps at Ride1Up. They deliver an outstanding product and stand behind it. Highly recommended. (Photos attached below. Apologies for the mud. It's been raining and I have been grinding off-road a bit!)

Tires were strapped so tightly that they were deformed, Had to inflate, deflate, twist multiple times before they would run without wobble. Assembly instructions were confusing with parts not shown and links leading nowhere. Had to add a spacer between the kickstand and the frame to keep my heel from hitting when pedaling. The assist level is barely visible on the display because of the color choice, blue on black. Fenders and rack are out of stock so I had to buy aftermarket ones. Overall I am happy with the value, fit, finish, performance, weight and range. I love the torque sensor and the ability to change parameters with the display.

We waited far too long to jump on the ebike bandwagon. Don't be like us. This LMT'D bike is INCREDIBLE. Looking forward to more Ride1Up adventures here in beautiful Central Oregon.

Overall this is a great bike and big upgrade from the last one I had from another brand. I live in San Francisco and the motor easily handles the hills. I love the shocks because going down the hills and hitting a bump no longer sends a tremor through my entire skeleton, and the hydraulic brakes work great (both upgrades from my last bike). The matte finish is more prone to scratching. I also found it difficult to find a u-lock that fit the frame and the tires. I also wish that there was an option during the order process to ship directly to a local bike shop to put it together for me, as I’ve had that service in the past, and I ended up having an issue with the tire that I had to take it to a local shop to fix anyway. Customer support was quick to respond though and in general, putting it together was pretty easy! Again, overall a great bike and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for an e-bike!

I’m very happy with my new bike! I had an old Giant ebike i rode for several years and maybe 2000 miles, but being challenged by its bar, I needed a stepthrough. My new Ride1Up rides great and the shifting and using the pedal assist control is very user friendly. The thing I am most thrilled with is the range I am getting…I use the controls gently at an average of 1, ie 30 percent at 0 assist, 60 percent at level 1, and 10 percent at level 2. I’ve bicycled about 110 miles so far and I’ve only charged it once to top it off before going on a trail ride.
Improvements would be — 1. A larger taillight, with an optional blinky. (I added my own taillight that blinks for additional visibility.) 2. A bell should be standard – I added one. 3. Ease of assembly — My husband assembled mine. He worked in a bike shop and has assembled 100 ebikes. It took him a full 2 hours to assemble, not counting unpacking and cardboard disposal. An inexperienced person might consider just taking it straight to a bike shop and have them assemble it. PS — love the wool beanie that came with!

Product was delivered with a few scratches, but since I’ve worked on bikes for decades it went together fine. Ideally I wanted a Bosch drivetrain with bottom bracket motor, but the price was right, and this setup is responsive and reliable. The torque sensor has only a split second lag.
The battery keeps a charge well and the range is great. The LTM’D 2 is heavy, but goes up hills I rarely tried on a conventional bike. I’m really pleased with the purchase and recommend Ride1Up.
