I love this Core 5 bike. I have cancer and when I ride a regular bike I run out of gas easily. This Core 5 is great for me. I can ride 20 miles with no problem. Going up hills was a big problem for me but this bike eliminated that issue. If I get a certain distance and feel tired, I just stop peddling and use the throttle to get home. Worth every penny in my opinion.

Core 5 first impressions.. finished pimpin’ my ride today. Have yet to test drive, it’s snowing again for one but my Core 5 arrived with a broken thumb shifter. R1U has offered to send a replacement.. Cool! Assembly went fairly smooth.. however the how-to videos regarding headsets and bearings were for the 500 series and the LMT’D. This caused a bunch of confusion. I took care to separate top and bottom bearings etc. though they eventually became mixed up. I advise you to keep them separated and in order of assembly. Aside from that, the Core 5 came together. Completed the assembly with lights, a bike alarm, phone cradle, air pump and a rear rack, a bottle cage is on the way. It really is a two man job to assemble, not necessary but helpful. This bike is just plain beautiful! Maintaining the classic look of a bicycle, a concealed battery, adorned with familiar brand-named components. None of it high end none of it cheap. The Core 5 design and geometry is the same as their higher end LMT’D. With changing weather, I look forward to touring the nearby Finger Lakes, but for now, a showpiece in the middle of my living room. Hope to provide further thoughts and observations. karl..
