Shipping Information

***Increased shipping demand nationwide has caused delays in tracking updates from Fedex and delays in shipping hubs. All our shipping estimates are delayed beyond the normal timelines.
Delivery time is dependent on your distance from Nevada (our warehouse location). We typically deliver in 2-3 days within the west coast and, or 4-7 days for the east coast.

Bike will arrive 85% assembled (electronics are pre-assembled). An assembly video is located on our support page. Front fork, front tire, seat, pedals, rack and fenders and crank arm need to be installed. Installation can be completed in 1-2 hours. However, a professional bicycle mechanic must review or complete the assembly to ensure all connections are properly secure and safe for riding. Proper professional assembly or tuning is required for upholding the limited warranty (except on electronics which are always covered). We will require such verification for warranty coverage on assembly related issues only.

Package Size is 52"x30"x8" and just under 70lbs

FAQ'S
Can I test ride a bike?
No. We are a direct-to-consumer company both in pricing and strategy. You will generally pay a premium for the ability to test ride. Due to our direct to consumer pricing strategy, we do not have nationwide dealer partnerships. There are some very helpful videos on YouTube reviewing the bike and detailing a closer look.
What can I expect ordering a bike from Ride1UP?
This article will explain all about what to expect when ordering a bike from us. Ordering With Us
Can I upgrade the battery?

Have a problem with lower gears and am told the derailer is bent. I used as assembled out of the box and put the chain around the drive sprocket

This is just an initial review as I have less than 100 miles. This is my first ebike so I’m no expert, but I have been commuting by bike to work off and on for over a decade.

    For reference I am 5’8″ and 140lbs.

Now review. First this thing is fast, probably too quick for some people. I’ve been only using pedal assist 1 and 2 as it is plenty assistance. Assist 5 is like using throttle and pretending to pedal. Top speeds for me are 28mph pedal assist, 23mph throttle only.

Battery life seems to be really good for the price (again, I have no reference). But it looks like 20 miles on only throttle and 60-80 on pedal assist 1-2.

The bike is heavy (especially with the rack and baskets I added) but not hard to maneuver while riding. With pedal assist it feels like riding a really sporty bike. It would be a pain to get this thing up and down stairs as it is large and cumbersome (I live on first floor so no problem there.)

I like the look of the bike but that’s personal opinion so…

The brakes have plenty of stopping power. I’m never worried I’ll slam into anything. As for the rest of the parts I haven’t put them through the ringer yet so I’ll get back to those later.

Note, I did replace the seat with my old seat. It was pretty stiff and mine was broken in. I also plan on upgrading other parts periodically as I do research (tires, fork, fenders, chain, pedals, crank, front rack).

For the price I paid, I’m extremely happy with this bike. I’ll be commuting to work 5 days a week on it no matter the weather.

I LOVE this Core5 bike!!! My first E-bike. The bike is a beast. Well built. Velofix assembled. Had a part defect and Alex at Ride1up responded and replaced part within a few days – no issues. Riding is a real joy! I live in near metro Boston and have been up/down hills and in city traffic with it. Acclimating to PAS/gears is pretty easy and quick. In city traffic lots of shifting gears/braking is necessary which is very manageable with this bike. I find PAS1 is best for battery efficiency for most riding. PAS2-3 for steeper hills is great. FYI – Bike likes to “run” – use gear 1-2 if you want to go “slower” at a walk or jog pace. Today did Boston city trip – 20+ miles RT and lots of stop/go traffic. Only used 1/3 of my battery power! These bikes can take a pretty good urban beating with no rattles. Even w/no suspension etc ride is relatively soft and comfortable. EXCELLENT product for the price point. Love it so much just bought a series 500 for my wife. Thanks for a great product Ride1up!

We bought to Core-5s recently – blue and grey. They were shipped when indicated during the ordering process and arrived via fedex in a couple of days. We had a velotooler put the bixes together. Took the tech 45mins for one bike and the other took a bit longer but were riding within a couple. We have put in 100+ miles each and are loving the bikes. Very sturdy, a comfortable ride, and having both an accelerator and pedal assist are really nice. We have had a few questions and the support over email from Ride1up has been outstanding – super helpful and polite. We looked around a lot before pulling the trigger on Ride1Up and could have been happier with our decision. I usually don’t write reviews but this one I felt is something I must.

My son LOVES his new bike— and so do I! He let me take it for a spin and boy, did I live it! It did come with a pretty sizable scratch on the battery pack part of the frame, but we just put a sticker over it!

I like this bike. A lot! I didn’t have any problem with the assembly and it came in perfect condition. I’ve taken it out a few times now and like the response. The videos on the assembly was clear but the view of the control screen didn’t look the same as mine. Overall I like this bike and look forward to some more rides.

Wow! What an e-bike debut for me!
Last time I rode a bike was like 20 years ago so coming back with a Core 5 as my mate has been wonderful. My initial plan was to use it as a commuter. Living in Miami that meant the throttle was a must! Well, after a couple of months I can say I can get to my office without breaking a sweat (throttle only ride) AND I can have a lot of fun taking it out to the trails during the weekends (using pedal assist and also not using it). So, a commuter, a fun toy to have around and I can also exercise with it. Beautiful stuff!
As per the company, standing ovation! I had some minor issues during the first week of using it. I contacted Ride1Up via email and the problems went away. Big thanks to Alex who was extra super mega uber helpful!
And… the bike is gorgeous. I also got one for my wife. I got the blue one and she has the gray one. To be honest, I am trying to convince her to switch (the gray one is even more gorgeous). She has resisted buy I will keep trying. And finally, yes, we get a lot of compliments and questions about our lovely Core 5 e-bikes.

awesome bike, so glad i bought it (a self retirement present). cant say enough about how much fun it was to ride. will take it for a longer ride tomorrow again.

Great bike for the price. Looks sleek and less “ebike” than most bikes. Some initial issues with display/control that were likely due to this being a completely new product, but Kevin and Alexander handled it quickly and beyond what I asked.

O.K. I’m in love with my Core 5. It’s the first flush of love- where you don’t care that you look a little odd as a couple because it’s just a little too tall for a 5’6” guy, it’s ‘+/- ‘ assist buttons are just a smidgen of a reach for smaller hands, and it leaves grease on the bed sheets that are impossible to launder out.

I don’t care that it came with two small scars on the battery top, or that I had to work with email support to fix a problem that kept the battery from seating correctly at first. Every new relationship has it’s kinks. It’s got the longest head tube that I’ve ever seen, but it keeps me in an upright riding position that’s quite comfortable and now I love to stroke that tube and gently murmur sweet nothings into the headset.

But seriously, it’s a wonderful bike. Aside from the aforementioned issues, it came very well packed in an almost undamaged box- and more fully assembled than expected with both cranks already attached. Small, thoughtful touches like bearing sets that are already greased, rear derailleur and both disc brakes already correctly adjusted, chain already lubed, reflectors on both wheels and two more in the box (just can’t figure out how the attach to their mounts for the life of me) some cool stickers to stick on things- this doesn’t feel like a baseline model when you unpack it. Did I mention that it’s beautiful? The blue color is actually much darker and grayer than the photos with a satin finish. Very sophisticated. People will come over and compliment you on being such a good-looking couple.

I’m around 160lb, and this thing is a rocket. I’ve only had it on mostly level ground, and for two days I’ve kept the assist level at 1 for almost all of the time. Truthfully, I almost spend more time on the brakes, keeping the speed down (crowded parks) than pedaling. I assume that having a cadence sensor, rather than a torque sensor is mostly responsible for that- a few strokes on the pedals with lots of gliding easily kept me around 18mph. The downside is that I don’t feel like it’s the best workout, for that I’ll turn the assist off and find myself pedaling a heavy bike around. I wanted the big power this has because I anticipate riding up long grades and steep hills, but for most circumstances (with my light weight) my new baby is almost overpowered.

I’ve ridden on ebikes that feel a bit like piloting a ship, but even with the cadence sensor this one still feels like a bicycle. Good weight distribution means reasonable agility, the solid fork gives lots of feedback, and the bike feels kinda nimble for it’s size- especially after angling down the commuter bars a bit. You can definitely feel the total mass- it’s never going to be like a 24lb drop-bar racer, or a bike messenger’s fixie but it never wallows or floats. Quite stable at the speeds I’ve had it (up to 22mph.) Overall, the bike gives the feeling that someone’s spent some time making sure that all the components work well together- it feels like a single unit, not like a bunch of mismatched parts if that makes sense. If you want to feel more involved with the bike on a moment-by-moment basis, my suggestion would be to get the LTD version with torque sensor, but if you like the feeling of having the bike do most of the work for you while you admire the beauty of the world on long rides this is the one to get.

So that’s first impressions of a giddy new ebike owner. Maybe should have waited for more than 40 miles of riding to write this, but I’m in love- what can you do?

Just received my new Core-5 and it’s an absolute beast and exhilarating to ride. I immediately fell in love with the bike and the frame of the XR is an eye catcher. I get compliments where ever I go and I’m having a blast with it. Ride1Up did a great job making this ebike, do not pass this up! In addition, the wheels have K-Shield protection! A screw punctured my back wheel, but luckily, the K-Shield protected my wheel from the screw entering the wheel. Therefore, my Core-5 is still operable even after that incident. Thank you Ride1Up for making such an awesome ebike!
