Great bike overall I’ve put 50 miles on it and I can say it’s does what it’s intended to do. The fenders don’t make noise contrary to some reviews, the bike is very sturdy and makes you feel in control; something you need when your riding at 28mph!
Handles and seat are very comfortable and shifter is perfectly located by your right hand fingers.
The water bottle’s holders position are a bit inconvenient in that i can’t fit a regular 20 oz canteen because of the top bar being slanted down, but I’ll just have to get another smaller bottle.
One other issue I found was that the battery percentage on the controller doesn’t seem to be quiet accurate in displaying what’s left, maybe it goes off of the watts your using at that current time to determine what’s left because when I lower my assistance it goes back up in percentage.
Either way the pros are above and beyond for the price. All I need is my panniers and I’m set, good job ride1up!

I looked for an ebike for over two years. The Ride1UP Core 5 was the one that finally met all my criteria for a simple, affordable ebike with exactly the features I wanted and none that I didn’t need. Unlike most of the other ebikes I looked at and considered, it even looks great. My bike did arrive with a couple of minor issues – a derailleur bent during shipping and a defective rear tire – but Ride1UP customer service was very responsive and promptly sent replacements for the damaged/defective parts. I’ve put about 100 miles on the bike so far and am very happy with my choice. This was definitely the ebike I had been waiting for. Even better, it came at an unbeatable price. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better ebike for the money.

I love this bike. I live in Baltimore, MD, and I love having the PAS on the uphill. Highly recommend the bike.

I like the Ride1Up Panniers, but they do not fit snugly on the 700 series when clipped in.

It was ordered on 10/22 and received a few days later but I’m still waiting for problems to be resolved. We have purchased a 500 ST and no issues at all. The motor on the 700 has definitely got issues pulling under load and the rear brakes just grind ( metal on metal ) the assembler came back together it and the bikes been gone since then. Not a good experience at all. Your people told me to take video of it What? I’m not a film maker or a bike mechanic. This review insists that I’m in Georgia but not I’m in Arizona
As an update – the bike has been returned with new rotors and they were great at first but now grind Ike crazy also. The motor was not addressed other than the program adjusted to give more wattage but it still has the same issue just more power when it evens out. (It moans and vibrates and stalls before then coming on more smoothly!)

I was worried about the quality of the bicycle since this is my first ebike. After a lot of research I’ve decided to purchase the Ride1Up Roadster V2. My bicycle arrived on the 3rd business day after I placed my order. Everything seemed intuitive from assembly to the electrical display. After my first ride I instantly realized how quiet the bicycle is in motion and everything feels quality built. The bicycle had .2 miles logged on the screen out of the box. So far I’ve traveled 2.6 miles and hit a top speed on 18mph. Some questions I have are:

    1. Is this bicycle compatible with a gates carbon belt drive? (I imagine the belt that came with the bicycle will eventually need replacement.)

    2. How do I replace the back wheel/motor when the motor no longer works? (I did not see a rear replacement wheel for sale on the Ride1Up page.)

I ordered one as I was skeptical as the price was low compare to many other e-bikes. Glad to say that the bike is awesome, just ordered a second! The quality is really good and was simple to put together 🙂

Since the bike had arrived the weather has not given me too much opportunity to ride but so far I am generally happy with it. The bike is what I expected when ordering, no-frills. It is quiet, smooth to pedal and on mostly flat terrain I find it a good ride. You do feel every bump in the road but this is expected. The down side I find is that my area is not flat and the bike being an one-speed find myself having to compensate for the lack of gears with changing the level of battery input. The battery does not start to apply power until about one full crank of the pedals so starting off up hill, like my driveway, is a bit of a challenge. It was mostly assembled when removed from the box and having tinkered with bikes in the past I found assembly straight forward. Tools come with it but the wrench to tighten the pedals did not fit and I had to resort to my toolbox. The only wish would be a throttle for those hills. So far I give it a four and half stars.

Purchased the Lmtd its my 1st e bike and I’m in love with how quick the bike gets up to speed I already have 40 miles on it so far and I really like it the battery for me is a little on the low end barely achieving the 30 miles but I’m not a light rider I would say I’m about 210 lbs and I’ve used it on the level 3 PAS…. great bike took me quite some research but this is the best bang for your buck it was between the Aventon and this and I chose this glad I did
