Can I test ride a bike? minus plus

We are a direct-to-consumer company both in pricing and strategy. You will generally pay a premium for the ability to test ride through a dealer. However, our bikes have been thoroughly tested by top reviewers such as Electric Bike Review, Electric Bike Report, Cycling Weekly, Clean Technica, Electrek and many others who have published their reviews on YouTube. Additionally, we are now supporting an independent network of owners offering their bikes for demos. Learn more here Locations

What Is the Best Electric Bike for Long-Distance Touring? minus plus

The newly launched Turris is in the running as a top-rated adventure touring-style e-bike. It has an advanced, high-spec design engineered for comfort touring, with a powerful array of components and a robust Class 3 motor that can carry up to 300 lbs and make it easier to travel up steep gradients on the road or into strong headwinds.

E-bikes created especially for touring are a great choice, with Zoom 180 mm disc brakes for stopping power at speed. Still, the hybrid functionality makes this model adaptable enough for touring, recreational cruising, and commuting.

What should you look for in a long-distance electric touring bike? We recommend an e-bike with an ergonomic gel saddle for comfort, excellent suspension for bumpy routes, and a smooth, high-performance pedal assist function.

The best electric touring bike needs sufficient gearing to traverse steep climbs and maintain decent speeds on flatter routes. The Turris comes as standard with a 46T Prowheel Alloy Chainring and Shimano seven-speed shifters alongside a sensitive cadence sensor, which boosts pedal assist when necessary by switching between assist levels.

What Is the Difference Between a Touring Bike and a Hybrid Bike? minus plus

Touring bikes are workhorses designed to cover greater distances and carry all your kit with you. While a touring bike is ideal for longer rides and cycling excursions, an electric hybrid takes it a step further. The frames on a electric bikes tend to be sturdier and more rugged to increase the weight capacity, and these bikes are faster because they are built for open-road rides with the most powerful hill-climbing gears.

A standard hybrid refers to mixed-use MTB and touring bikes, with a trade-off in aspects such as tire thickness, weight, load-bearing capacity, and comfort. Hybrids often have different tires than bikes designed for touring since they are partly intended for off-road terrain.

Adventure touring e-bikes like the Turris provide a comprehensive solution, with the ergonomics, intelligent design, and durable components that mean one bike ticks every box. The Turris is built for adventure, with a more vertical upright seated position to avoid stress and fatigue in your shoulders and back after a long day in the saddle, and features Kenda K1227 touring tires with a wider diameter that can handle rougher terrain, smoother roadways, and cycle paths.

What Are the Advantages of a Touring E-Bike? minus plus

One of the reasons a touring e-bike is so popular is that riders can travel faster and further, completing tours and tougher rides quicker and making longer courses more accessible if you’re limited on time or wish to reduce fatigue or incorporate longer, more demanding excursions into your adventures.

As an indication, a rider who covers a lot of distance per day on their touring bike could add twenty miles per day with a touring e-bike. Hydraulic lockout suspension forks absorb every lump and bump, ensuring you have the ease of an e-bike with the design specificity of a touring model, as well as the ability to ride safely and smoothly on the roads–a win-win for every rider!

Outstanding! I am over the top pleased with my purchase. I actually purchased both a Limited V2 and a Turris. We have not had much time to put a lot of miles on them, but they both are Awesome! Assembly was very straight forward and actually an enjoyable process. If you are in the market for an ebike, go for a Ride 1 Up,

Good power, fenders are kindve finicky you have to adjust and center them periodically. Tools didn't inclued a torx key for the front light. Seat is moderately comfortable pretty good for a stock seat. Green color is great. Cosmetic wise I don't like how the kickstand doesn't sit flush when collapsed but not a real problem.

I’m so happy with my Ride1Up Turris. I didn’t want to pay a fortune and the Turris is a lot of bike for the money. I’m used to ride quite often when I lived next to a flat trail. Then I moved to an area with big hills which made riding “not fun anymore”. I’m 65 and the hills were a killer. I stopped riding for a bit. I did a lot of research and found the Turris had most of the features I was looking for at a reasonable price. I looked at local bike shops, but found I would be paying at least double the price. Being good with mechanical things, I decided direct shipping was for me. The assembly was fairly easy and fun. I did have an issue installing the front hydraulic brakes and emailed Ride1Up. They responded quickly and sent some additional video links. With the links and some helpful comments, I resolved the problem and took my first ride. Hills be gone, it’s fun again! I was a little concerned about having a cadence instead of a torque sensor, but the reviews indicated that the feel was very good and they were right. I didn’t want a bike too heavy, but solid enough to take my 5’ 10”, 245 lbs. A step-through was preferred. My research led me a short-list of three choices, 1RideUp, Aventon and TST. When the Turris went on sale for July at $1095, I pulled the trigger. Also, the Ride1up Turris looks so COOL! You won’t be disappointed.

Bike came very prompt. Packaging was good. Assembly was not difficult. After I assembled it I took for a ride. There was a wobble in my front tire. Took it to my local bike shop all set. Also a front roter had slight damage. I don't know if it came defective or in the shipping. Now after all said and done the bike is a lot of fun. Great speed. Pretty nimble. Breaks are great. Range for me has been pretty good. I like that the tires are not overly fat tires. So would I buy this bike or try another from this company? Most definitely!!!!

Purchased this e-bike one year after my son bought a Ride1Up Roadster V2 bike. When I tried his I thought it would definitely make biking fun again, but I wanted one with a more powerful motor to carry my heavier weight. I also liked how the bike came with a light, kick stand, and had a chain (compared to the Roadster's belt). I also liked how the bike didn't overwhelmingly look like an e-bike. I received the bike and about the only thing I was a bit concerned about was the condition of the box it came in, and the fact that at the bottom of the box, the power adapter / charger was out of it's box, and the box wrench was NOT included in the package (not a problem as I had my own tools which probably were of better quality. It definitely seemed like a bike that was returned for some reason or another. I would've taken a rating off for this, but given the fact that once assembled, there was literally NOTHING wrong with the bike and it charged & worked as expected. Everything was straight & true, and was VERY solid. I've been using this bike now for a month, and I love it. I mostly got it to get me turned on to some sort of exercise in hopes that I can shed some pounds. I pretty much keep the pedal assist at 2 or 1, because the idea is I want that exercise! I did, of course, try the faster speeds, and it gets me going, but I rather enjoy longer battery run time & exercise than go zooming around (defeating the purpose of getting it). I did try also activating the "Class 3" function of the bike and you can tell the difference, but again, that's not why I got the bike, but I wanted to try it anyway. I was also surprised that it had a rear brake light. I had no idea it had one. EVERYTHING on this bike works great, and I love the color & functionality. In short I would recommend this to anyone that wants to exercise, but (like me) is too lazy to do anything to do it. This bike got me out and about, and I feel much more active than I would be had I not got it. Who knows? maybe by summer's end I will also shed a few pounds. I'm trying to get out every day for at least 30 minutes. The bike battery for my weight (280 lbs) seems to last for a good half-dozen (or more) 30 minute bike rides. I don't usually drain the battery to below 2 bars.

Still trying to get it together. The gears need indexing. Lites are not working. Wish I had just bought one that was complete.

I bought the bike for my wife’s birthday and there was a part missing. The first customer service rep did not put in an order to send the part. The second customer service rep sent the wrong part and the final agent sent the correct part. I asked if they could ship the part priority so my wife could use her birthday bike, but apparently, that was not an option. I waited a week and a half to get nothing shipped, another week for the wrong part to ship, and another week for the correct part to be sent out and received. So, after getting the bike a month earlier my wife can finally ride her birthday present. She likes the bike, but it really takes the fun out of it when you are just waiting for a part to get sent out so it can be ridden.
