Love the bike, would like a little more power on uphill's but otherwise a great ride. I have used it to shuttle from take out back to put in on my drift boat trips. Will add some accessories to aid in this - rear rack, extra battery, airtag, etc. See photo of bike in the boat for the downstream adventure. Thanks for a great product.

The style, color, and price for the bike was perfect for me. I ride nearby rails to trails with ease now. At first, I was concerned about the cadence sensor, but it works fine since I normally ride with PAS 1 or 2. I am happy.

I love this bike! I keep it in assist 1 most of the time occasionally using the throttle to get started. I have a few modes of two wheel travel and find myself grabbing this one most often.

One of the best bikes I’ve owned. Light weight and simple to use. Great battery life. Just enough pedal support for those steep hills. Will recommend to anyone looking for an ebike.

So giving the roadster 4 stars only for the fact that I think the battery range is a little misleading. The bike is great I have ridden over 1000 miles on the dang thing in the last 4 months. The ride; is honestly great this feels like a sporty single speed I am 6'4" and put a riser on the bars and it is comfy, and fun to ride! It isn't the typical 60 lb e-bike you see I can easily pick it up and put it in my house. Only weighs about 30lb The components; overall impressed. For commuting I will eventually put some different tires on but 1000 miles in and still using the WTBs. Would like something a little less gummy. Impressed with the brakes. You need a few extra tools to swap the back tire but I can still do it in 25min. I have a 11.5 mile commute one way to work with about 500 feet elevation gain on my ride. I basically stay in pedal assist 3 and end up with about 1 bar left (out of 5). It usually ticks over to 1 bar in the last half mile. The range: I think if you rode it flat in pedal assist 1 you could get the 25 miles but I suspect most people would live in pedal assist 2/3 which keeps you between 16-18 mph. I think a more reasonable range to expect is 15-20 miles unless you live somewhere very flat. Still totally fine just something to keep in mind. Overall: this bike rips, freaking beast of a commuter and I love it honestly it is a machine and the belt drive is awesome.

Wow! This bike has completely changed the way I interact in our community from biking to stores, friends' houses, sporting events, paddle tennis courts roughly 2 miles away (yes, I am in my 40s and look old but still feel mentally 14) and I love the fact that no one knows it is electric:). Smooth and easy process to set-up. I love the gravel addition with softer bigger tires and much better brakes. I do not think the throttle is needed and I use the 1-5 pedal assist as my "gears" and I would love to see a light added integrated with the battery. I did buy a $50 400 lumens REI light that works great but I have to charge it every other use. Because we have awesome bike paths in So Burlington Vermont we often commute with our kids to friends houses and very often it is night riding, a little backlight on the screen would be a nice small change as my kids always ask me how fast we are going. The bike is well built and very simple so I hope that leads to a long life. I love doing research when it comes to buying large items and I spent 6 months reviewing, watching videos, and testing much more expensive bikes. The value of this bike with the components made me give it a shot and I have zero regrets purchasing the gravel addition without testing it first.

A great bike for the one who is looking to have the sense of pedaling and at the same time have some help from an electric assisted motor. After a few additions the bike turn a perfect solution for my daily 10 miles commute in NYC.

I purchased 2 bikes, 1 for my wife and 1 for myself. I've been riding my bike for a little over 1 month and about 450km (~300miles). I have been commuting daily with the bike, pulling 2 kids in a chariot, and also having a kid in a bike carrier seat. This bike has allowed me to bike faster, further, and more often. I've been typically riding around 33km/h on level 1 assist. For me this is very comfortable and I can achieve around 50-60km on a battery. When its very windy commuting I will ride on 2 or 3 occasionally. I don't find levels 4 or 5 useful to me very much. I think I would prefer to have a less powerful option than level 1 instead of level 5. I would also like the option to use my throttle when I'm on 0 for when I'm pedaling without power and would like to throttle up a hill. Overall we have been happy with the quality of the bikes. My wife's bike had a problem with the throttle sticking and Ride1Up sent a replacement within an hour of me emailing them so the support is obviously great. We have found the gearing to be comfortable for us as well, although I live in an extremely flat city with the only hills being overpasses. If you are looking for an e-bike to do most of the work this probably isn't the one, but if you are looking for something that is able to extend your abilities I can't recommend this bike enough.

My 500 mile review. I very much recommend the Gravel Roadster. If you want an affordable, robust, easy to use and maintain, comfortable and reliable, light weight, stealthy electric, ability to ride with or without pedal assist, 12-18 MPH bike, then this is a perfect bike for you. Anything 19+ MPH may get spinny on the RPMs with the lower geared single belt drive. The non Gravel Road version should only be purchased if you will be on good road surfaces only and those extra couple MPH you can ride with the higher gearing are desired. For everyone else, if the $150 extra is possible, the gravel is the better all around option for safer, softer, everyday use. With the gravel, I can cut some tight sidewalk corners into the grass with no fear in the tires. # 1 point for potential buyers. I'm glad I made the decision to buy the small frame (30" stand over height), even though I had to swap to a longer stem for more reach. The Large frame is recommended for 5'8"-6'3" riders, but it has a stand over height of 33". I'm 5'10, but my 31" inseam makes the 30"' stand over much more comfortable than if I had the 33". Every person will have different body measurements, but make sure to evaluate this point for your best fit. ride1up should offer a medium option...keep the small frame, but a larger stem for more reach. I will not bore you with the details, but I went from super "Ironman" fit pre-Covid to unhealthy and work addicted during the last 3 years, ending up in a deep hole of unhappiness and regret. This bike is getting me back into fitness with a guaranteed assist home if I bite off more than I can chew. My ride last Sunday was 65 miles, with most of the 1st half unassisted, with the exception of the overpass crosswalks (photo), that do require hitting assist 2 or 3 to get up the incline with the single speed belt drive. After 35-40 miles in, I start to add in some time with pedal assist 1 for that bit of help, and that security of assist is a great ace in the hole if/when needed. I didn't lose my 3rd bar on the battery until a few miles from my finish. Still 40% of battery in reserve. I will soon be back to fitness, and will no longer be the bike used for any longer rides. However, it will either remain in the stable as a great short distance commuter, or better yet a re-home to someone who may need it as their primary or "back to fitness" bike.

I ordered the Gravel edition and received it in a few days. Was packaged well and easy to assemble. I went on my first ride and had it on one most of the time which was plenty of assist. The battery lasted for just over 30 miles. 28 mph is my top speed so far. I've put on about 80 miles and I'm very satisfied and plan on ordering another one for my wife. Takes between 4-6 hours for a full charge. Best part is that it's stealthy no one can tell it's an ebike.

I'm really pleased with my Gravel Roadster v2 non-throttle. It was a great basis for a commuter bike, and I immediately did some upgrades: Surly Corner Bar 46cm, compressionless brake housings/lines, Avid BB7 calipers, Evo Classic rear rack, Ortlieb pannier, Jandd frame bag, Salsa bar tape to match the tires, and a Dimension stem, 110mm, 125 Degree, 1-1/8x25.4mm, and a steer stopper. I'm 6'1" and bought the large frame. Out of the box the front wheel was way out of true, too much to get the brakes aligned, but Ride1Up covered the cost of truing at an LBS (but have pics/video available!). I put maybe 20 miles on it pre-upgrades and liked it okay but it's great with my own twist added. Lack of throttle is not an issue for me and I was happy to have the option to save $100 and skip it.

I’ve already put 300 miles on it and haven’t had a major complaint at all. It’s a great way to get to and from work quickly while having some fun at the same time. Build quality is great and assembly was easy. I had one crank arm come loose but that’s a relatively cheap and easy fix. Otherwise, I’m very satisfied with it.

I’ve had such a great time on this bike. I’m using it to commute to work – which is about 3 miles from my house with lots of hills.
Realistically, riding it there and back twice (about 12 miles) is about all it can be trusted with. I’d love a little more boost up some of my hills, making me think I’d snag a more powerful bike in the future.
But this thing is lightweight (for an e-bike), looks great…and I love everything being so pared down.
