This 'is a very well built and spec'd bike. The Brose mid drive is so smooth and quiet. Everything was in fine working order when I received it and I had very little assembly to do. I have had numerous Ride1up bikes now and everyone of them has been great. I started out pretty basic and worked my way up the chain to this Prodigy.

I can't say enough good things about the customer service and the bike that I purchased. First, Ride1up is based in the United States and the service representatives are local, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They also have a 30 day price guarantee. My bike went on sale within a week of my purchase and after reaching out to customer service I was promptly refunded the difference. I did have a long wait for shipping, about 3 weeks, but my bike arrived well protected and in perfect condition. The last minor issue that I had was a stripped screw on the adjustable kickstand causing the it to not hold the correct position. I reached out to customer service once again and I had a replacement kickstand the very next day. In regards to the bike, I believe that this is one of the best values to be had. I purchased the model 700 for my wife and was very happy with the quality and components included on that bike. The model 700 does have a hub motor and a cadence sensor, causing an ever so slight lag to the pedal assist. However, it was very minor and less noticable that the two other major brand ebikes that I have used. My wife loves her bike and I considered purchasing the same one for myself. Being more of an avid cyclist, I decided to purchase the Prodigy XC. This bike has a mid drive motor made by the German manufacturer, Brose, and a torque sensor. With this setup you do miss out on a throttle, but you gain a completely natural cycling experience. Pedal assist happens immediately based on how hard you are pushing on the pedals. This is a similar feeling to riding with the wind at your back or downhill. Since the XC is more of a mountain bike setup, I was slightly concerned with range and rolling resistance during road touring. I shouldn't have been worried at all. The bike handles the road great and soaks up bumps and potholes with the larger tires and front suspension. I feel no extra rolling resistance at all and this bike is only about 20 percent slower on the road than my dedicated road bike. The first setting of pedal assist, eco mode, completely compensated for this and my average speed while touring remains about the same, but with a more comfortable ride. It also handles gravel and loose dirt like a champ. This is something that I cannot do on my road bike and this opens up more routes as I tour. Battery charging takes a while and is best done overnight. Even so, range is not an issue and I can get roughly double the stated range if using eco mode on fairly flat roads. 90-100 miles is possible if I really try to conserve battery power. Even riding with the assist off isn't a deal breaker since this bike is fairly light for an ebike of this style. Climbing is a bit more challenging with a bike weighing over 50lbs but using assist completely takes care of that hurdle, to the point of making it much easier than on an acoustic bike when you use higher levels of pedal assistance. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this bike and Ride1up products to anyone. PS. The chameleon gloss paint looks great as well!

This is a great single track bike. With a few upgrades, it is even better. Can't express how pleased I am with is purchase.

I love this bike. It is everything I hoped for in an ebike. I was looking for something with some trail capability that I could enjoy on the road as well. I wanted to still get plenty of exercise while I ride and this is great for that since it isn’t too heavy and I can enjoy it in the lowest pedal assist mode (until I get to a hill and crank it up)! The only thing I’m not sure of is the battery capability but I’m experimenting with it to see how far I can really go. It’s still very new to me. I love that the company honored a price match when the price changed after a few weeks of my purchase. I was already happy with the value and then it got even better. This is a great bike! No regrets on my end!

It is a little early to rate this bike, but they asked for one, so I like the bike so much that I decided to give a preliminary rating. I bought this for my wife. We are both avid bike riders and used to participate in 100-mile ride events, etc. We rode several thousand miles per year. However, we are now in our mid-seventies and my wife has had some medical difficulties. I decided it was time for her to try an ebike. Not only are they easier to ride, they are safer. Lights, fenders, luggage rack, etc. We would never have a bike that you can just turn the throttle and it goes. What's the point? Just get a scooter. So when we got on the bike and started riding, we were thrilled to feel that gentle assist kick in (at the lowest level). When it was turned to a higher number, the assist is more pronounced, but still not violent. We love how it rides and how it still makes you pedal to earn your keep. So it remains our chief avenue of exercise. Beyond this, I bought a little cart that attaches to the rear spindle and put our two mini-Australian shepherds in it and ride around the neighborhood. It is a blast. When we do this, we usually bump up the assist level one or two notches. I have a $10,000 road bike and I like this bike just as much. I hope this bike holds up as well as my road bike. We shall see. It appears to be well-built and sturdy. It is also pleasing to the eye. And the price was considerably below other brand-name bikes. Have I said enough good things? The only minor thing is that I had a little difficulty putting the bike together, which was a little odd since I do all my mechanical work on our four road bikes. It wasn't big, it was just that the handlebars, with cables attached were tucked in behind the down tubes and I couldn't figure out how to get them out. I called customer service and they made some suggestions. I ended up removing the mini-computer (with cable attached) from the handlebar and that allowed me to untangle the handlebar. Put the mini-computer back on and it was good to go.

Order arrived in less than a week. There were a few cuts in the box, but contents were undamaged. Assembly was about as straightforward as I hoped. Had the bike assembled in about 20 minutes. It looks like a very solid product, and a great complement to my 25 year old Specialized bike. I added a seatpost suspension early on. My Specialized had one, and I didn’t realize how much it did until it was missing. I still need to get the suspension tweaked in, but it that is pretty low priority. I mostly ride on pavement anyway. I bought this bike without ever having ridden an ebike of any kind. I was sold on the torque sensing mid drive pretty early on in my research. My early comment would be...yes...the torque sensing drive feels very natural. There is not any sort of learning curve associated with riding this bike. I have not taken it out for any long rides yet, it has been too hot here in Texas for that. I look forward to a 25 mile plus ride when things cool off. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking for a ebike.

Great bike my fourth ride 1 up 1 core 5 2 limited and then the new prodigy they all work great!
How does the bike* fit? Please share your height/size and the frame type you ordered, if applicable. 6 foot 190 all four bikes fit great. The walk-through limited seems a little shorter than the others .

How does the bike* fit? Please share your height/size and the frame type you ordered, if applicable. I'm 6' and the bike is a good fit, I do have the seat post very high.
Super satisfied with how the bike performs. Shipping and handling was a nightmare cause by carrier which is outside of r1up company control I understand. Bent crank and chipped paint but employee accommodated me well as a customer. Working out swapping the front fork because it’s the one lacking part. Now learning g about 15×110 and boost forks which this model is not it’s 15×100 non boost so upgrading the fork means the hub is only 100mm not 110mm so I need spacers or a new hub to get a new fork. Oh the joys of learning new age mtb trends. Loving the journey for the money regardless though.

Outstanding assistance from the brose motor. Outstanding value. Eady to assemble
How does the bike* fit? Please share your height/size and the frame type you ordered, if applicable. 5 7, but I tend to ride larger frames and seat height based on my bike fit. I'm considering a dropper post for eay on and off the saddle.
Absolutely love my Prodigy XC !!!!
Could use a headlight switch to conserve battery. However, installed my own.
How does the bike* fit? Please share your height/size and the frame type you ordered, if applicable. Awesome fit !! 5’11 230lbs.
It would be nice to have better directions. Still have been unable to remove battery. Needs switch to turn off front headlight which pulls a lot of energy. Needs better instructions on display and an auto turn-off charger.
How does the bike* fit? Please share your height/size and the frame type you ordered, if applicable. Fits fine w/ 5'10" male rider.
