Purchased the Lmtd its my 1st e bike and I’m in love with how quick the bike gets up to speed I already have 40 miles on it so far and I really like it the battery for me is a little on the low end barely achieving the 30 miles but I’m not a light rider I would say I’m about 210 lbs and I’ve used it on the level 3 PAS…. great bike took me quite some research but this is the best bang for your buck it was between the Aventon and this and I chose this glad I did

The LMT’D is my first ebike. I am very happy with it. Great torque, speed, acceleration, and handles well. Beautiful, clean look. Not too heavy at 51 lbs. I commute daily, with lots of hills; no problem. I use the throttle on steep sections which is very helpful on my 4 mile hill climb every evening. Overall, a great bike at a great price point. With so many ebikes to choose from I feel I picked a winner!

I have only had the bike a few days but so far really love it. As my first e-bike I am still figuring out a lot of the technology but think it will be exactly what I was looking for. I am a senior with bad knees etc and even though I really loved and did a lot of biking in the past I had pretty much written it off. I live in a hilly area and that was a barrier both physically and mentally to me but I rode 10 miles yesterday on my limited and only used the petal assist on the hills and had a great ride. I have a friend (also a senior) that has a $6000 custom made e-bike he loves but I think I will love my LMT every bit as much.

Love at first site! Being in my mid 50’s I wanted to continue riding my bike , with a little help. The LMT’D step through does just that and more. The ride is so smooth and quiet. I use the throttle at stop signs to give the little boost I need to get going and on some hills. The only con I can think of is that it could be a bit smaller frame. I am 5’8 and with my seat as low as possible, it is almost a bit too big. I wish the frames came in different sizes. I can’t imagine a shorter , elderly person getting on and off the bike with ease. I wouldn’t mind it an 1” or 2” shorter. Other than that, it has great power, smooth and the pedal assist is amazing. Customer service has been top notch with quick responses and extremely helpful. My 6 pound dog loves riding in a front basket . I have recommended this bike to so many of my friends!

Had some difficulty getting the neck and forks tightened and after another bike arrived, I discovered this bike did not include any tools 🙁 Box was slightly damaged and the bike was not packaged as well as the second order… After the neck, the assembly was good and the bike has been running great !!

I have increased my time bike riding thanks to my new LMT’d – looks great, feels sturdy, no random noises and was easy to assemble. As a bonus, I get a lot of great comments by people curious about my bike. LMT’d is the best big purchase I’ve made in a while and I am confident it will last a long time. Fast and versatile and now my wife wants one.

Now that I have had an opportunity to log some miles on my limited model, I really love it. I upgraded from a conventional bike to this ride1up limited ebike and I will never go back. Enjoyable to ride. Was a few minor issues during assembly but after multiple emails back and forth with customer support, they hot me pointed in the right direction and all is good. Now just time to start riding as much as possible.

Had a problem with the front chain wheel not being assembled onto the bottom bracket. To install this chain wheel requires a 22 tooth freewheel tool that most shops have but most non bike home mechanics do not have. The crank arms had to be retightend at the bike shop as well they made a terrible clicking noise when under load. The bike rides well it is a big bike. It goes very fast very quickly I have to get used to that. Still exploring all the complexities of power settings and will have to go on some long rides to figure that out. Have only taken it out on long test rides of less than 2 miles so still just adjusting seat height and handlebar final locations. It is a great bike and a good value and hope to probably purchase a rear rack and perhaps a second battery for it in the future. Very happy it charges easily.

This is such a powerful bike! I highly recommend. The color is great (it’s different from the website photo, see the photos in the other reviews). Also, the customer service alone is worth buying from Ride1UP. They have been very responsive before and after purchase. The reviews on their competitors all complain about being without support once they buy. This alone is worth buying from them. 10/10 would recommend the Lmt’d.

The LMT’D is my first e bike. It has been a lot of fun. I have had it a short time and have not made any adjustments on the display yet. The bike made a great first impression!

So I took a chance on a startup bike company hoping for the best. The ordering process was easy. The back order process was confusing when I would get email and shipping updates. But the bike did arrive and the link Ride1up provides for assembly so the warranty is valid is GREAT!! The price is right and the Velotooler mechanic shows up to your door and assembles it.
I no longer have to worry about parking when I get to work. I can go shopping, run errands and hop on the BART subway if I need a longer commute. Good-bye car! Well that is until I can buy an electric car. #Happy

Alright guys got my LMTD last night and put it together myself with some tools I have on hand and no help (I am not an expert)

Opportunity: the fork clicks and rattles and it could be an assembly error on my part but I don’t think so. I just think that’s the way it is and the performance has been fine (no wobble). I’d be more concerned but I’ve had bikes with clicky forks before and I’m not concerned.

Opportunity: I had to mess with the derailleur quite a bit because out of the box, the chain was falling off the largest cog and I made it worse before I made it better, but in the end it’s shifting well and it’s not falling off anymore. All I did was adjust the limiting screws on the derailleur.

I haven’t messed with the spokes but I did a hand check and nothing feels loose or overly tight and the wheels are spinning nice and straight.

Win: Initial impression is it’s an extremely smooth, and comfortable ride and feels very responsive. I like that it’s comfortable but doesn’t look like a grandad bike (I like grandad bikes but not for this). The Seat is comfortable but also sports looking (not a big fat seat)

Win: I love the position of the handle bars and the grips. They are very comfortable for long rides while also looking more performance oriented. The matte finish on the bike is super duper nice in person and looks classy but also functional at the same time. The finish might be my favorite part of the bike. I love the beefy tires but they also have more of a road or all terrain tread on them so it’s perfect to match the character of the bike and the general feel of the bike/ how it rides.

Opinion: I do wish the pedal assist and throttle was a little more snappy but I’m sure it’s a safety thing. It’s powerful but i just want it to be a more sudden but I’m sure many will disagree on that.

Win: Brakes feel trustworthy and tight and fork feels nice and agile but also soft if you want it to. The fork settings make a difference- the settings are more than just show, you can really make it stiff or comfortable by changing the setting.

Win: The battery is also painted Matte and is nice- and fits in well. The battery also has a finish on the inside parts which I appreciate. The kickstand looks cool and is solid enough for the extra weight.

Win: Also, very important, it’s relatively easy to ride on pedal assist 1 or pedal assist off to conserve energy or get more exercise. I get the impression that the way I ride, 50 miles on a charge is totally realistic.

Conclusion: I’d say that my expectations have been surpassed so far and the bike looks more impressive in person. It also feels like a higher quality ride than I expected. It just feels smooth yet substantial.

I would do it again and might even get a 700 to make into a bike I can really put a beating on and take camping

Really nice torque sensor bike. Great value. Ride1Up really backs these bikes – I have no reservation recommending the LMT’D (or any Ride1Up bike). I had two pieces of feedback for Ride1Up on the initial batch of LMT’Ds:
    1) Secure/waterproof where the cables enters the frame
    2) Refine the Torque sensor/motor interaction software (controler)

Well – they did that and more on the upcoming LMT’S shipments. Upgraded software, frame grommet to manage the cables. New kickstand location. Slightly upgraded LCD. Good stuff!! Great dedication to ongoing improvements.

The LMT’D is a really impressive bike and you can’t find a torque sensor experience at this price.

Checks all the boxes at a great price.

The only downside I can think of is that once you go over about 20mph, the highest gear doesn’t give you anything to pedal, so spinning at a normal cadence won’t get the torque sensor to kick in, which makes prolonged riding closer to top speed (which I think many would find useful on long stretches of road during their commute) impractical. Another couple gears would work wonders on this bike.

That said, it’s still a great bike, especially for the price. Great company, too, and the owner is a stand up guy. If you’re deciding between Ride1up and something else of comparable price, go with Ride1up.

The Ride1Up LMT’D is a great option if you’re looking for a faster-than-most electric bike. You will definitely feel the higher torque of this motor and it is impressive up hills. The brakes are solid and the air suspension is a great addition. One other huge benefit is that this is much lighter than a lot of ebikes. If you’re taking your bike on a hitch rack this can make a big difference. Here is my full review: https://ebikeescape.com/ride1up-lmtd-review/
