You should upgrade the instructions for this install and include written instructions not a video. The Roadster install video in not accurate. I had to be creative in how I routed the cable because they are too short for the CR Racer in terms of the way the cables enter the frame cover. I painted the battery bracket and made the battery a bit more stealthy in terms of appearance. You probably would not notice that the Zefal bottle was a battery unless you looked closely.

I purchased my Roadster because it checked all of the boxes based on my needs at the time but the price sealed the deal. It was more than worth the money because I did about 150miles on it within the first couple of months then took it on the road for the NYC Triboro ride then the Empire State Ride I rode from Albany NY to Niagara Falls NY, no problems, no flats, nada mechanical issue ! I ride mostly on 1 so I get just under 30mls I'll be doing those rides again this year so I'll be adding the extender. Someone mentioned steephills and I agree it's great on some hills but a steep one I pushed it up because you would still be working hard and your sucking the juice if you're going a distance

This battery definitely helps with range! It was easy to install and is not heavy. I almost wish the Roadster V2 would have one of these on the downtube instead of the internal battery.

Price to value is super good, for the components that come with the bike. The rim v-breaks are more than effective and work very well. Shipping to Hawaii is expensive but it is to be expected considering current events. My brother in TX shipped me my bike via fed-ex for a cheaper rate, after I shipped to him at the free cost per web page deal. Just consider the 5 pedal assist levels as gears when it comes to the hills you encounter, even though this is not a hill climbing bike. Battery range 27 miles on single charge flat lands with head wind, and some level 2 use to get up small inclines. The saddle is comfortable even without bib-shorts. I am 182 lbs. I got a size small and I'm 5'8". Also I ordered the extra battery for the down tube area, and should double my range and make using the upper levels a less conservative method. I installed a shock absorption seat post for more comfort on bumpy roads. Bike weight is light which is good. I have taken it 24 mph with level 5 pas. Biking level 1 feels comfortable and good to ride in. I am a injured athlete and this has made my bicycling dreams come true again because the PAS is very responsive. I am a 10+ year avid cyclist and I enjoy the looks and geometry a lot. I got the silver colorway. I've been against e-bikes for most of my cycling but now that I am a injured athlete, I learned & changed for the better, and I can honestly say it is a wonderful tool to have in the quiver and makes bicycling fun again! Don't knock-it before you try it.

Fantastic product. I would say that this was a game changer for me and my riding experience! I can now go twice the distance and don’t have to economize the power level. The only negative is that the installation was somewhat challenging – and I am a fairly handy guy. Had to run to the store to by a 7mm wrench so that I could open and close the spring loaded plastic cylinder inside the battery compartment. You have to remove this cylinder in order to connect the new battery. Also, once you install – it’s a fairly permanent setup – battery is not easily removed from its mount as you would have to disconnect the power cable using needle nose pliers to unscrew the ring which holds it in place. All of these are minor inconveniences – the end-result is well worth the trouble and the cost!

Heavy but expected that. Gotta get used to the new weight but, it’ll keep me outside longer!

I seemed to have misplace the charger for the add on. Is it the same charger as for the main battery? If so, I just need the adapter to charge the battery.
    Thanks

Connections to the battery are a bit Fiddly. But doable.
