So far so good but then again I’ve got less than 300 miles on the bike. My bike came with a front disk brake which was bent. After a few emails, a few pictures, and videos, I was able to get a new one sent. I did find this a little irritating considering I was emailing them the same day the bike was delivered. Not being able to reach them by phone was irritating too but it eventually was resolved.
I really Brett who posted above about the tires. The tires that come on the Cafe Cruiser have no grip whatsoever. I live in Los Angeles so I ride at or near the beach mostly. Just the smallest amount of sand while going around a corner is scary. I have to slow down to a crawl going around some of these sandy sidewalk corners. New tires were something I was considering but didn’t realize they were hard to find. Hopefully, I have better luck locating some.
The last thing is I’ve had what customer severance has referred to as voltage sag. I’ve completely lost all throttle power and/or peddle assist when this voltage sag happens. On my second ride, I had it happen 4 different times. Each time I would shut off the display, turn it back on, and then it would seem to be fine again for a few miles. I finally made it home but my next time out for a ride I had NOTHING. No throttle, peddle assist, nothing. My friend and I were able to rest the system and ever since it’s been great. For the money, it’s been fine. But it should be with only 300 miles on it.

I have had the bike for about 3 weeks now and I cannot think of one negative thing about it. I bought my wife a different brand beach cruiser style e-bike and the Ride1up quality is far superior. Funny thing is, hers cost more! I can guarantee you will not find a better quality bike out there at this price point. I have put 200+ miles on it so far and not one thing has gone wrong. I would recommend this bike/brand to anybody.

I love my Cafe Cruiser. I couldn’t have made a better decision in purchasing it. I haven’t rode a bike in over 30 years. My boyfriend got the 700 and I tried his and had to get a bike of my own. I never ever thought I would be riding a bike again in my mid 50s. I wouldn’t be able to without the assistance. I just love everything about it.

Overall, it’s a wonderful bike. But with nearly 500 miles of paved roads and five flat tires. Customer service blamed “pinch flats” without seeing pictures or asking what pressure the tires were at. 26 x 3 tires are an odd size. Please do your research on the tires and replacements prior to purchasing this bike. The Cafe cruiser is a great bike if you can keep the tires inflated. My friends say it looks great while im chaining it to random objects and hitching a ride to get my truck.
Also, if you leave anything less than 5 stars, the review doesn’t post. I wanted to leave 3 stars.

I’ve had the bike a little over a month now, commuting to and from work on paved roads almost daily. Overall the bike has been amazing except for one absolutely massive drawback… the tires. The 26″ x 3″ tire is an odd size. I have had five flat tires in the 400 miles on the bike. Customer service acknowledged the tire size issue and was of zero assistance in finding a suitable replacement for a sturdier tire. Being stuck between a standard tire and a true 4″ fat tire is not where you want to be. Until they resolve the tire issue, I would recommend purchasing a different style than the Cafe cruiser. The bike looks great chained to random objects while I hitch a ride to get my truck though.

Wonderful bikes! Wife and I each purchase one. We have the ST model. Assembly was super fast and easy. We did take them to our local bike mechanic who have very little to do to tweak them to perfection. After about 100 miles the wife’s bike started to have an intermittent electrical issue. The customer service we super great and fast. After working with a representative, we trouble shot the issues and we were sent a new controller. It was mailed super fast to Florida. It was easy to change out and there are no more issues. As to the bikes they are super comfortable and very stylish. We have been stopped many times and ask about them. Over all I would recommend the Cafe Cruiser and ride1up to my friends and anyone who asks
