The basket is well-built, up to a point. I suspect no one at corporate HQ has tried to assemble one, or seen a finished basket. Overall I like it. But here’s the issue: the small m5x10 screws that hold the basket halves together. I have attached a couple of pictures. Two problems: the screws are very tight to tighten, resulting in the allen head recess getting mangled about halfway, so you need to finish with vice grip pliers. And then once the screws are fully inserted … they don’t sit flush, they stand proud by quite a bit. Looks very unprofessional. Because the bars are round, i don’t know how you would do it differently, but the way it is now is unacceptable.

When I first put it together as instructions showed, the 2 springs that hold retainer in place would pop out. I put a flat spacer between the 2 parts and it works great.

Would have been a 5 if I didn’t have to make a modification.

Yeah, had the issues with the instructions and screws. I’m just submitting a review to make a suggestion for you to make an alternative rectangle shaped basket rather than only square. Not only would a rectangle-shaped basket look sleeker and fit the profile of the bike better, it would allow backpacks with laptops in them to fit better vertically, as well as better hold extra bike batteries, which I need with the distances I ride.

Great feedback. We are working on a rectangular shaped larger basket. Thank you for sharing this!

We are including a cargo net in the next generation. Thank you for the valuable feedback, a net would be very helpful.

I had some issues with some of the screws going into the appropriate holes. My wife wishes the basket was a bit deeper or had a cover to hold things in.

Thank you Stephen, we apologize for the screws not going into the bolts holes as they should. We will reach out to you to ensure this is resolved.

While I couldn’t use this, it was a very unlucky happenstance with having a slightly older model of the bike. The basket itself was great quality and I’m sad not to be using it.
